Chapter 2 (Leanns POV)

892 Words
I was giddy as I put my two other outfits, toothbrush, and the last of the toothpaste into my plastic bag. I was free! I was getting out and away from Henri. I would never come back. Then a little question popped into my head, would this strange man be any better? Just because he had nice clothes did not mean he was nice, just that he could look the part. Would I be treated fair and would he really be okay with me not having my power yet? Enough questions, get your s**t and get out Leann! I ran through the halls and out into the street. I smelled the air, breathing in the freedom from this life. I looked ahead and found Mr. Dark waiting for me in a beautiful blue car. It said BMW on the front and looked brand new. He held the door open and I practically jumped in. "Well Leann, I would like to introduce myself. I am Lucius Dark, and I am in need of some witch assistance." "I don't have powers yet. I cannot help until I achieve one spell or potion. Why would you still want me?" I did not beat around the Bush. I never have, and never planned to. "I am the Alpha of the Forrest Moon pack. I was visiting another Alpha when I smelled you. You, are my mate. I am taking you home to be my Luna. I require you only to learn and help my pack when needed." He said this casually, like it was normal. "Okay well I am not a werewolf, so how can I be your Luna? Also, I've been at this for 10 years and have gotten nada out of my magic. I still think Henri was wrong about me." "Do not worry. I can smell your magic. You just need the correct setting to harness it." I looked out of my window and found that we were already in a beautiful forest. Birds of beautiful colors sang in trees and the sky could not be seen due to the greenery. I've never been happier. This dudes place was amazing! It was a mansion, 10 stories high, surrounding buildings just as large and what looked like a small town down a dirt road. I jumped up and down giddy with excitement. Lucius watched me with a grin on his face as he got my plastic bag. "Is this all you've got little one? Why did you leave the rest?" "Oh that's everything I own. We weren't permitted anything that would not fit in the bags. Too much to carry when we moved I guess." "Alrighty, that just means we go shopping tomorrow mornin," he said in that gorgeous accent. He handed my bag to another man and we walked to the front door where a group of people were waiting. The new man was very interesting to look at, he looked kind of, psycho? He had blue eyes that looked like a bolt of lightning lived in them, ready to strike at will. He was very muscular, which made me wonder how he wore shirts. But his smile, that weirded me out and gave me comfort at the same time. "This is Connor, my Beta and best friend. If you need anything and cannot find me, this is your guy okay darlin?" I nodded quickly, becoming shy. I was led into the home by some other wolves and was whisked to a room. Lucius had disappeared so I just went along. "Luna, this will be your room. I am sorry if it is not up to your liking, so if you wish to have any changes made let me or another omega know," one of the wolves spoke softly. "Its more than I expected- oh what is your name?" "Eileen, Luna. Thank you for asking," had no one ever asked her name? If I was going to rule here in any way, I need to make it a point for these girls to get the recognition they deserved. "Thank you Eileen. Would you care if I went and took a nap? The bed looks so comfortable and the day has been rough," I wanted to make sure I was okay to really stay here. It was as though I felt it would be ripped from me all over again. "Of course," she and the other wolves nodded and left, shutting the oak door behind them. I looked around the room, just toying with the idea of it being mine. I loved the shades of browns and tans, simple yet elegant. The cream color splashed on with the bedspread and decor items. It was perfect for me, and I never wanted to leave. I sat on the bed, which mine as well have been a freaking cloud, and closed my eyes. I was at peace in that moment, so when I started drifting I did not fight it. I went right to sleep. I had had dreams before, but never like this. I was head over heels in love with this man, but there was an excruciating pain in my stomach that made me furious. I wanted to run all over again, a feeling I promised I would not have again. I was turning to run when I felt a jolt wake me up.
