Engrossed in the book in my hand, I didn't hear the door to my bedroom open. Mom walked in, shutting the door behind her
“Aren't you going to have lunch with me?” Mom asked, sitting on the bed. “And why is the bed filled with lots of books, darling? Are you preparing for a competition”
“I wish that was the case Mom but I'm doing this to help Lucian”
“Help Lucian” she asked in confusion
“Dad cheated him, mom. Lucian deserves that company and not Lucas. He deserves to be the new CEO” I explained and get smile drooped to a sad one
“How does that have to do with the books?” she asked
