JAI XIA
Since our little tutorial on maths Monday, Xavier has been working non stop and wouldn't return till very late each night.
As I sat at the dinner table about to dish out Xavier walks into the dinner room.
The minute I saw him I gotbup to leave.
"Wait, Jai Xia... I mean Miss Ying.... Please have a seat we need to discuss something."
I was shocked.
I sat down but didn't dare to dish out.
"Please, dish out, we can talk as we eat..."
Xavier said.
I was now even more shocked.
He than got up and reached out to me.
I flinched.
He sqw that than just sighed.
He took the bowl in front of me and than proceeded to dish out for me.
I watched in horror.
What the hell was happening....
Was I dreaming?
He placed the bowl back in front of me.
"Please... Eat..."
Than he dishes out for himself.
Once the shock wore off I cautiously lifted my spoon and started to eat.
As we ate in silence he suddenly spoke.
"I was thinking, maybe you would like to go and see your family for a few days this weekend... I won't able to accompany you, because I have to go to see... Um.. A client in England, so I might be gone for like 5 days or more, so um... If you want to, and I am saying that... "
Before he could continue I jumped uo in excitement." Yes... Yes... I would love to... Thank you, thank you so much sir... "
I said and smiled from ear to ear.
He was flabbergasted.
But I guess he was also happy as the rest of our dinner he kept smiling to himself, maybe not noticing me watching him.
After dinner I ran upstairs and called my Mom.
The phone rang a few times than my mom answered.
"Hello... Mrs Ying speaking..."
She didn't even finish when I suddenly started crying.
"Ma... Ma... I... I.. Am coming home tomorrow... Ma..."
I managed to say sobbing while I spoke.
"My baby, is that you... But why are you crying... Did Xavier do something to you... I swear if..."
"No mom... I am just so happy, Xavier's letting me go home till he gets back from a business trip... And I am just so happy..."
My mom sighted in relief.
"O damit, you scared me you silly girl... But why... Um okay thats great news, don't worry your room is still here waiting for you... We can't wait to see you, I'm sure dad would be even more excited about it than me..."
I spoke to her just a bit more than we disconnected.
I ran to my closet and started throwing things in my suitcase.
I didn't even bother to fold anything as I was just to happy to get out of this miserable place, even if it was just for a few short days.
I packed all my books and a few extra jackets as my hometown gets cold in May.
At around 10 I went to bed and after over 2 hours of tossing and turning I finally fell asleep.
I woke uo at 5am,and was so excited I jumped out of bed and showered got ready and ran to the kitchen.
I found Mrs Noona in the kitchen.
"Jai Xia, you scared me... Child, why on earth are you uo so early... Owww... I get it... Yoi can't wait to go home..."
She smiled than continued her work making breakfast.
As she was serving the breakfast I saw Xavier sitting in the dining room.
I knew yesterday's dinner we had was just a once off so I had my breakfast in the kitchen.
After that I ran upstairs to fetch my mamy, many bags...
Xavier frowned as he watched me bring my bags.
"Are you leaving forever?"
He asked and I couldn't see if he was joking or serious as the look was weird.
"No... I... Um just have somethings i need to give my mom, and well Shanghai gets cold soooo..."
He gave me a small smile than callled sam over to take my bags.
The drive was long but I was super excited.
I watch as we drove past familiar house and finally stopped in front of my family home.
I didn't even wait for the car to stop completely before literally jumping out and running into my waiting mothers arms.
When I felt he hug me I began to cry.
I just couldn't help it.
Xavier soon joined us.
"Morning Mrs Ying ..."
She looked at him than me.
I gave her a smile before jumping into my so called husband arms.
He was really shocked but didn't push me away.
"Mom... Sorry I was so happy to see you I almost forgot Xavier was also here."
She looked at us.
My arms around his waist and his army over my shoulder.
She smiled.
"Okay, no need to be so lovey dovey in front off me... Im still your mother you know" she said joking.
She invited us in but Xavier declined saying he was guna be late for his flight.
He turned to me and gave me little hug.
Than got in the car and left.
Me and mom rushed into the house.
When I saw dad I cried again.
I was soooo happy.
I went upstairs and unpacked all my things, Xavier was right I really did bring almost all my stuff.
I took out a picture of us on the wedding day out of my bag.
I was to scared to put it up at Xavier's house so I bought it home and placed it on my side table.
This was going to be a great weekend.
