Chapter Thirty-Six -Girl's day.

1358 Words
Violet Alison and I were having a girl’s day today. I needed to find an outfit for the wedding next weekend. We were supposed to go shopping before now, but we ended up being too busy. We were looking forward to it. It is fine staying with the guys, but having some girl time away from them is also nice. “I need food and coffee first, then we can talk about your date.” She smirks. “Why are you smirking?” I laugh. “Because after all this time of having fun and a whole lot of s*x, you are finally going on a date with one of them.” She says. I shake my head, “It is not a big deal. He asked me as a friend. It is like we are going to start dating. None of us want that.” She raises her brow at me, “Are you sure?” “Positive. A couple of weeks ago, you asked me the same thing about Arlo,” I chuckle, “I will tell you the same thing as I told you then; it is nothing like that. I don’t want to be with any of them or date them. They don’t want any of that with me either. Parker asked me to go, so he wouldn’t be alone or have to find someone else.” I say firmly. “Fine, fine. I will drop it.” She snickers. “Thank you, but I know you won’t. You will bring it up again.” I giggle. I know my best friend better than she does. I meant everything I said to her, though. We find somewhere to eat, head inside and get seated quickly. We order our coffee first. We will order our food soon. “Are you only shopping for an outfit or something sexy for underneath?” she asks. “Um, just an outfit, I think.” “Really? You are going to be in a hotel room with him for two nights—just you and him. Hotel s*x is great, better than in a bedroom at home. It hits differently. Why not make the most of it?” she asks. “True. I may need to do a little sexy shopping, too.” I smirk. Nothing has happened between Parker and me for a while. I don’t know why, but it could change, and we could make up for it at the hotel if he wants to. “Yes, I am sure he will love it. He is probably desperate for you since it has been a while. Why is that? You have been hooking up with Arlo and Tyson but not Parker.” “I don’t know. Maybe he has lost interest in me in that way. He used to be flirty and confident, making the first move, but there hasn’t been anything like that recently.” I reply honestly. “Hmm, strange. Perhaps he is waiting for you to make the first move?” “Could be. I will find out next weekend.” “I don’t believe he has lost interest in you. He still watches after you like he is ready to pounce at any second.” She snickers. “I will see how the weekend goes. I am not going to force anything.” I shrug. She nodded, and we finally ordered our breakfast. If Parker has changed his mind about me, that is okay. I wouldn’t hold it against him. He has the right to want something or someone different. If that is the case, I would like to think he would tell me. It could be another reason why he wanted me to go with him to the wedding. “I think I need to do some sexy shopping for myself for my girl.” Alison smiles. “You should.” I encourage. It has been a while since I have seen Alison smitten with someone. It was nice. “Maybe soon I can bring her over, and we can all have dinner and drinks together.” “Yes, good idea. That would be nice.” She hasn’t been to our place. Alison goes to her. I think she has been enjoying having her all to herself without having us around. “I will speak to her tonight, and we can arrange something for the weekend after the wedding,” she says. Our food arriving at the table stops the conversation, and both are ready to eat. We need the energy to go shopping today. We will buy way more than planned or needed. It has been a while since we have been on a shopping spree. We have the right to treat ourselves; we work hard enough for it, especially Alison. **** I enter my bedroom, dump all my bags on the floor and flop down on the bed. I am exhausted. Alison and I went overboard. My feet are killing me from all the walking and shopping. Alison went to her girlfriend’s house. “Shopping tire you out, angel?” I hear Arlo chuckle from behind me. “Yes, my feet are killing me.” I huff and roll onto my back. He comes further into my room, “What did you buy? Anything nice?” “Everything I need for the wedding next weekend,” I answer. He starts to nosy through the bags and pulls some of the lingerie out of one of them, “Is this for the weekend, or can anyone see you in it?” he smirks. I laugh and roll my eyes, “For the weekend, maybe.” “Oh, favouritism, I see.” He pouts. “I have dressed up for you before. Plus, there is no point wearing lingerie around you because the second you see it on my body, you turn into some sort of wild animal and pounce, ripping it from me. It isn’t cheap, you know.” I chuckle. He puts it back into the bag and climbs onto the bed to lie next to me. He rolls onto his side, and I do the same. “Why did you say maybe?” “I am not sure if it’s what Parker wants,” I answer. Arlo raises his brow at me, “Trust me, he wants it. Why would you think he wouldn’t?” “Because he hasn’t really seemed interested, not in that way. I think maybe he has changed his mind, which is fine. You and Tyson are enough to handle.” I laugh. “He is interested, angel. I think he has been keeping his distance because of the decision you made weeks ago about stopping. He is being respectful. Yes, the man loves s*x as much as the rest of us, but he is a little different from us. He is softer than he shows. We all have a sweet spot for you, but him more so. You shouldn’t think too much into it. I am sure he will make up for lost time this weekend.” He smiles and tucks my hair behind my ear. “I never really thought about that.” “Honestly, you have nothing to worry about.” He smiles. “Okay. How has your day been?” “Not bad. Busy. I am going to make some dinner; do you want anything?” he asks. I shake my head, “No, I ate enough when I was out with Alison. I won’t need anything else to eat today.” I snicker. He kisses my forehead, “Okay. Once you have caught your breath from shopping, join me, and we can watch a movie or something. It is only us tonight, well, until later. Tyson won’t be home tonight. I assume Alison won’t, and Parker won’t be home until midnight.” “I will do. I will be through soon. Just need to put my things away.” He smiles. He climbs off my bed and leaves my bedroom. It will be nice to chill with him, watch a movie, and maybe have a beer or glass of wine.
