Chapter Fifty-Four- It Is A Lot
Violet Arlo and I had a great date. Though, I am surprised because after we got back to the apartment, he gave me a soft kiss and bid me goodnight. He made no attempt to accompany me to my room. I say I am surprised, but I believe he did it because he is giving me the time to decide what I want. To give me time to think about everything he said. I appreciate it. He’s not attempting to force anything. It is a lot for me to process. Yet, I still find myself a little disappointed nothing else happened between us. I guess I can’t have it both ways. It is probably for the best. I prepare for bed with a sigh. I am not ready to sleep yet. I will relax with a movie or a book for a bit. No work tomorrow means no early bedtime for me. I slip under the covers, reaching for a book. I put some music
