Mistake With Mr Arrogant

Chapter Eleven

A lot ran through my mind on the reason Kaiden want to see me in his office all of a sudden. I mean his mother, the Chairwoman is around at the moment, so why? What does he want from me this time? Does he want to introduce me to his mother?

I got to the front of his office but his Lucian, his secretary was not on seat like he used to. I wonder what was happening because Lucian never leaves Kaiden's side. Whatever happens is non of my business anyways.

I took a deep breath before opening the door to his office but then I paused. "Why did you come here?", I heard Kaiden yell, slamming his fist on the desk. That alone startled me. I really need to know what is going on.

"Kaiden dear, don't you want to see your mother?", I heard a lady's voice. I know that it was Mrs Kingston because I recognize her voice from the two general meetings that were held last two weeks. "Don't you think this firm should grow more than what it is now?", she continued.

I leaned my ear further on the door to hear everything that was said.

"Not this way. I don't need to do this, I don't want to", Kaiden said. Did I hear will it was Kaiden being sober to his mother? The power of mothers indeed!

"Starrion Groups have what we are looking for and they are making a bargain. So it is either that or never", Mrs Kingston said softly. Now I really want to enter but I cannot be more insane.

"I mean, you have worked so hard for this and you can't let such a huge offer go to waste. All you have to do is just..."

"What are you doing?", Lucian startled me, obstructing me from hearing that part of the conversation. Bad timing Lucian.

"Umm... I... Mr Kross called me", I stammered with cold hands.

"Well, he is busy right now so come later", He said adjusting his glasses, giving me a glimpse of his light green eyes. I stood there staring at his cute and innocent face.

"Do you have anything you want to share?", he said snapping his finger waking me up from my daydream.

"I will go now", I cleared my throat and head off.

Just when I was about to hear the interesting part of the conversation, Lucian had to come in. Now I am left to think about what Mrs Kingston was going to say.

Starrion Groups?

Starrion Groups is one of the firms that is completing with Kingston Inc. in networth. Let's say that Starrion Groups has more connections with majorly all the richer companies around the world, making them take deals with huge company.

I think Kingston Inc. wants to open a deal with them or something, I don't know. Like I said, what happens is non of my business.

"The founder's day celebration is tonight and we will want to be on our best behavior", Mrs Evans said in front of the room, looking straight up at each and every one of us as we listened to the usual speech she gives every founders day.

"We are to dress like we are going for the company's celebration, where we will meet a lot of this city's best individuals, not a club", she said looking straight at Stacey.

"Every year!", Stacey exclamed rolling her eyes and throwing her hands in the air.

We all know that Stacey is always the center of attraction when it comes to founder's day celebration. Stacey's dresses are always smoking hot on founder's day and she always attract at least one eligible bachelor but it ends up not working at the end of the day.

Mrs Evans has made it obvious to everyone that she envys Stacey's sense of fashion compared to hers, and we are very tired of hearing her every single founder's day.

"Please pick someone else Mrs Evans. I am tired of being the center of attention", Stacey hiss and walked out of the meeting, I went after her.

"You know Mrs Evans, she always has problems with the both of us. Don't let her get under your skin. Besides, we have a few hours before founder's night, let's go get dem bachelors", I said and Stacey was already smiling from end to end knowing that we have to go for shopping.

The day moved so fast and we were already in the ball room for the founders day celebration waiting for the Chairwoman and and CEO to arrive. Who knew that Mrs Evans would want to compete with Stacey this time around.

Mrs Evans had already violated the rules herself buy dressing like she just wanted to stop by before going to the club. She tried so much not to have close contact with anyone in the department before she gets questioned.Sometimes I am left to wonder why her husband left her, guess that is why she is always hurt most of the time.

Everyone mounted in their different positions, Stacey and I mounted at the food section because we were all about food. We gathered all the food we could and went to a corner to stuff our face with food, keeping a close watch in case anyone spots us.

Suddenly, we saw camera flashes and the whole hall was silence. We quickly took the empty plates to the food table and cleaned up ourselves to see what was going on.

It was the Chairwoman followed Kaiden with Lucian on his right, followed by the Chairman of the Starrion Groups with his daughter on his right hand, the eight security guard in black followed last. The hall was parted into two, half of the room moved to the left wing on the hall and the remaining half moved to the left wing where we stood, paving way in the middle of the hall for them to walk through.

"Forget Kaiden, Here is an eligible bachelor I have for you", I nudged Stacey to look at Lucian they approached us. She immediately gave him a wink as he looked out direction.

"What of yours", She said, nudging me to look at Kaiden but I couldn't.
