Mistake With Mr Arrogant

Chapter Twelve

"Go, take your shot", I said pushing Stacey to where Lucian was standing. She didn't even hesitate because she is not shy with approaching men like I am. Trisha was off to chase her dream man, and I was left alone on the refreshments table looking for another delicacy to stuff my face with because the food was nice.

"There is Mrs Trisha Kross", Kaiden said walking up to me on the refreshments table still looking for what to eat next. I rolled my eyes and continued with what I was doing.

"Are you not Mrs Trisha? You look spicy tonight", he said putting his hands my waist gently from behind but I resisted his touch.

"Happy founder's day to you Mr Kross", I said raising my glass of wine to clink with his and took a sip. I know very well that I just got on his second nerve.

Kaiden took my drink from me and pulled me from the table to an isolated corner. "I need you to avail yourself whenever I want or else", he said putting his hands on my neck and pinned me to the wall. I struggled so hard to get off his grip but I couldn't.

"Now that's a good girl", he said when he saw that I was out of strength to struggle, then he planted a kiss on my lip.

"I can see that you are not a man of your word Mr Kross", I said still in his grip.

"How do you mean?", he said giving me another kiss.

"You threatened me to come stay with you as your 'wife' in the Kingston Mansion and then when I come to get my stuff you drive me and give me back my apartment. I didn't know that's how you do things", I said.

"I didn't know that you wanted to come stay with you husband Mrs Trisha Kross, besides, you didn't tell me that you miss me that much", he said working his fingers on my arms from my finger tip up to my shoulder continuously. I felt chills go down my spine.

He took my the back of my hands and began to kiss them gently, that alone shut me up and I couldn't speak for a while.

"Your mother....is she visiting?", I asked trying to get him to say something about his mother was talking about earlier.

"My mother has no business with me. I am with my wife so why talk about my mother", He said walking one of his hand up my free peach colored dress and pinning both of my hands up on the wall. Our breath started racing as we started kissing intensively.

I have missed this.

"And your mother has no business with you why?", we both startled at the voice of Mrs Kingston. He took his hands off me, rearranged his tie and put his hands inside the pocket and I adjusted my dress and cleared my throat. My heart started pounding inside.

"Kaiden dear, Chantel is waiting for you. You should go keep her company ", she said softly at Kaiden. "Shouldn't he dear?", she asked me softly with her hands on my shoulder. I nodded and she gave me a fainted smile. Kaiden stared at his mother with red eyes, he clinched his fists while grinding his teeth inside his mouth,

"Now run along then, you don't want to keep her alone before the big announcement", Mrs. Kingston said waving her stick. Kaiden went off in haste.

Big announcement??

"Oh those two just can't wait to get married", she chuckled.

"I am very sorry if Kaiden is using you as one of his pleasure dummies. I have always told him to skip playing with young women's feelings. They are all scattered across the world, I do pity them. Good thing he has decided to settle with Chantel and be serious for once. Hope you understand", she said caressing my shoulder with a fainted smile on her face.

With each gentle step she took her stick the floor gently. I watched her turn her back against me as she went back to her seat that was at the front of the hell with the security men in black stand and guarding her. I walked slowly out of the corner I was it to avoid any eye contacts in case anyone saw that.

"Trisha, there you are. I have been looking for you everywhere", She said, then suddenly her face coiled into a big frown.

"What is it?", I asked shaking her slightly.

"The man of my dreams rejected me", she said frowning even more and looking at Lucian who was taking with Kaiden.

"Tell me about it", I scoffed when I noticed that Kaiden was now staring at me.

"Kaiden's pet just said that he can't have anything to do with the female employees in this company. But he is too cute, look at his nerdy ass. I will not give up on you", she said biting her lips still looking at their direction. They both looked at our direction this time around and I watched Trisha constantly winking at Lucian and disgracing herself.

My eyes widened as they started walking to our direction. "Here they come", Stacey nudge me. But I didn't want to talk to Kaiden after what Mrs Kingston told me.

They paused on their way and all our attentions were diverted to the tapping of the microphone. We looked up on the stage and sighted Mrs Kingston with the microphone. I wonder what she wants to say. Everyone including the Media pushed in anticipation to what she wants to say.

"Thank you all for coming to this firm's annual founder's night, you are all welcome once more. As we all know, my visit always comes with intriguing questions. Well, today I will answer one of them", Mrs Kingston said. Stacey and I looked at each other, then my eye met with Kaiden's, I knew that something was wrong. My heart started beating fast.

"I would like to introduce Mr Woods, the sole Chairman of the most powerful Starrion Groups with his beautiful daughter, Chantel", she continued stretching forth her hand beaconing them to the stage. Applause swept the room and the room was in an uproar.

They both went on stage and gave a bow. "Did I fail to mention that this is Kaiden's fiancee", she said holding Chantel's hand in stage. Somehow her eyes spotted mine from the stage and she gave me her normal fainted smile. My heart sank and I could no longer catch my breath.

Excitement filled the hall and everyone was left in wonder, including Trisha and I. Everyone asking questions among themselves in the audience. I could see that Kaiden and Lucian were not left out of those who were surprised.

Why are they surprised?

"You know Kaiden can't even resist the charm of your daughter, Mr Woods", she said to Mr Woods smiling. The whole hall roared in laughter.

"Kaiden dear, come and give your bride to be the first dance", she said searching through the crowd with her eyes for Kaiden. When she finally say his, she waved at him to come up the stage.

I could no longer hold myself as I couldn't see clearly again. My knees became weak and I fell on Stacey's shoulder.

"Trisha! Trisha!! Trisha!!", I heard Stacey's voice call out to me while shaking me. Suddenly all the sounds faded and I couldn't hear or see anything as I was now on the floor.

I fainted.
