He was determined to never let her go no matter what happened.

Chapter1
Kylie Ruining my make up was the last thing I could do to make myself better. I wanted to cry so bad but I just couldn’t. The maids had done a good job in making sure my make up turned out to be good. I couldn’t ruin it and make it a mess just the way my life was right now. A woman’s wedding day is supposed to be one of the best days of her life but mine? It was the worst day of my life. It was more than a nightmare for me. I shut my eyes tight as I took a deep breathe, holding back my tears. Although I assured myself that it was going to be fine, I knew it wasn’t going to be. “You aren’t out yet?!” Shoot! I snap my eyes open quickly, twisting my neck towards Lady Anne, the maid whom the Alpha had placed to watch over me and get me prepared. Her brows were arched as she stared at me. “I apologize..” I answered and held my gown, heading towards the door where she was. The gown was beautiful. “Your eyes…” She held my hands immediately, bringing me to an halt as she stared deep into my eyes as though she was reading deep into my soul. “They are red…beetroot red, are you okay?” I scoffed. Was she really trying to act like she was unaware of what was going on? “Have you being crying?” She questioned, an hint of mockery evident in her tone. I let out a sigh and shut my eyes to lock the tears back in. There were a thousand and one words I wanted to say but I decided to let it be. I was quiet as she pointedly glanced up at my dress. “I am fine.” My voice wobbled with restrained emotions. I was hurt.. and broken but how I felt didn’t matter at that moment. “Good.” She led me out of the room, down the stairs and towards the garden where every Alpha alike had gathered. I had no idea why Alpha Eaton had chosen a nobody like me to be his bride. I understand I was sold to him as a bride for peace’s sake bur he could have equally rejected it. The moon cast it’s eerie glow on the garden, illuminating everywhere. Why could the moon goddess not cast her light on me just once and save me from this mess? “What are you doing?” The head maid asks, her meticulously brow raised, as I halted a distance away from the garden. My feet refused to move like it was glued to the floor. “You have wasted so much time. Do not make the Alpha even more upset with your attitude.” She ordered. “You will be fine.” I muttered to myself and let out a sigh. “You should count yourself lucky, you know? Every woman would kill for this graceful opportunity.” She spoke once again. Her voice only got me irritated . Every woman would kill? I would gleefully jump at the offer of being the woman to be killed so my place could be taken. I could sense the tension amidst the gathered people as I took my first step towards the altar of ruins and destruction. His icy gaze on me heated up my insides and for a minute, I wanted to run back out . With my heart racing, I took slow strides towards the altar, Alphas and Lunas alike, staring at me as I marched on. Some had excitement plastered on their faces, some had disappointment… perhaps, disgusted by my presence and for some, I could tell they just wanted to get it over with. With each step I took, my heart raced even more and it threatened to fall out. Quicker than expected, the wedding rites were completed. My Alpha and now husband had a frown on his face all through the time. I was glad he didn’t spare me a glance as his stares could kill. It could make one go crazy. The negative and menacing aura surrounding him swept me off my feet occasionally, definitely not in the good way. As soon as the wedding was brought to an end, Alpha Eaton stormed out of the garden and headed to heaven-knows-where. If my presence irritated him that much, why couldn’t he just decline the offer? He was the Alpha and had the power to say no. “You make such a beautiful bride and I am certain you are going to make a beautiful mother and Luna. I wish you all the best.” A young woman whom I perceived to be a Luna spoke as she embraced me and I smiled. “We have to leave, Luna.” Lady Anne spoke, rather uptightly, tapping me on the shoulder. “Welcome to the Luna squad. Most assuredly, I tell you, it is a lot of responsibilities but it is also so much fun.” The Luna whispered in my ears before walking away and I smiled, feeling a little better. A percent of the pain I was feeling went away as she embraced me once more before leaving. “The Alpha would definitely not want to be kept waiting.” Lady Anne stated with a huff. Here we go again. I had lost counts of the number of times she had said those words to me that morning, even. Like a prisoner taken back to his cell, I was led back into the building that housed the Alpha and other important people. “Where is the Alpha?” I questioned as I turned my neck to look at her. She had a frown on her face as she stared back at me and shrugged. “I do not have an idea. He could… have gone out to have fun.” She responded. “In a house of ill repute?” I questioned once again, my mind racing as I hoped to get a positive response. Perhaps, I could be free tonight. She halted immediately, her jaw dropped and her eyes widened. Had I crossed the line once again? “You are the Alpha’s Luna but how could you think about our Alpha in such a demeaning way?. He is too morally upright to be caught in places like that.” She responded and continued to walk, this time faster than I was. “Here..” She led me into the room. “Some maids will be here soon to give you a bath…” She spoke softly, in contrast to how she had spoken initially. Goosebumps formed all over my skin as a result of the darkness that exuded out of his room. It was big and beautiful. Painted it white, it exuded beauty but… also darkness. His scent hung everywhere hence helping me draw a conclusion that it was his room. Perhaps, my new room. The turning of the lock of the door drew my attention back to reality and it was at that moment I realized the door had been locked. I had been locked in. Perhaps to prevent me from escaping? I let out a sigh and leaned on the door. I wasn’t sure if to sit on the bed or anything… I didn’t want to be out in trouble. Just like Lady Anne had said, I heard a loud knock on the door and save for the fact that I was able to gather myself, I would have fallen to the floor. The maids had smiles etched to their faces as they walked into the room, urging me to walk after them. My life was no longer mine hence I did as instructed. The maids constantly giggled and whispered soft words into my hearings, making me smile occasionally. I knew their intention was to make me calm and it did work…a little but the moment they were done, the mask faded and I had to embrace reality again. I was cladded in a sexy lingerie which I wasn’t so comfortable in but I had to do what I was asked to. Quickly, I wrapped myself up in a towel, constantly hoping and praying the Alpha would be disgusted by my presence and not share the room with me. A young lady walked in with a cup in her hands and a smile on her face. I let out a wry smile as I stared at her, wondering what she was up to this time. “Here…. I brought you tea.” She started, a wide smile etched to her face as she pulled me towards the bed. “What is this?” I questioned, looking at it suspiciously. “A tea.. to ease the pain.” She responded. I looked up at her, my brows arched. I could swear I saw her blush but it disappeared just as soon as it came. “What pain?” I asked again, staring at her, my heart racing as I wondered what exactly she was talking about. The mannerism in which she uttered those words scared me. It got me a little worried. “I have to leave now.” She answered and bowed before heading to the door. “Wait!” My grip on her hand was tight and she arched her meticulously raised brows. “I…” I sighed. “I am sorry…. I just want to know what it is.” “You have to take it right now because….” Just then, the door flung open and there was the Alpha, standing right there at the door, staggering as he held on to the door and his breath was heavy. He was visibly drunk. The maid who was by my side shivered and walked out briskly, avoiding the gaze of the Alpha. As soon as she was out, he shut the door once again, his eyes shooting daggers as he proceeded towards me. My heart raced and in defense, I tried to get up and run away from him but he was quick to hold me back and push me to the bed, tearing off everything I had on and brutally having his way with me despite my cries and pleas. “Henceforth, your whole life would be a nightmare…” He whispered into my ears, his stinking breath disturbi ng my ability to breathe. As soon as he was done, he got up and headed out of the room.
