JILIAN'S POV:
Sir and I are here at the land where the new branch of New Generation Hotel will be built. It’s incredibly spacious.
“Sir, I’ve already taught Mandy everything she needs to do. I think she’s doing well. It’s only her first day, but she’s hardworking, and she’s already memorized all of her responsibilities,” I said.
“Well, that’s good. You’ll be able to go home early today. By the way, what do you think of me? I mean, what do you think a woman would like about me?” Dean asked.
What kind of question is Sir asking me?
“Um… thank you, Sir. What would she like about you? Actually, everything, Sir. Hahaha. You’re perfect,” I answered.
That’s what I had to say, because he might get upset if I told him what I really thought. He had asked me the same question before, so I answered based on what I saw in him—and he ended up being moody the whole day. Hahaha.
“R-Really? You’re right, though… hahaha. Come by my house today,” Dean said.
“Your house, Sir? I thought you said I could go home early?” I asked.
“Yes, you can go home early. Come on. Cook kare-kare for me like you used to,” Dean replied.
“Ah… okay, Sir.”
It’s not like I have a choice. Besides, Ichay isn’t home yet, so I’d just be alone in our apartment and get bored anyway.
When I arrived at his house, I prepared all the ingredients for the kare-kare and immediately started cooking.
When it was ready, I served the food and called Sir to eat.
“Wow, that smells good,” Dean said.
“Okay, Sir. Go ahead and eat,” I said.
“You cooked a lot. Eat with me. Sit down.”
“I’m okay, Sir.”
“Eat.”
After we ate, we sat for a while.
“Sir, if you’re okay now, can I go home?” I asked.
“You’re going home already? Lately, I haven’t been able to sleep properly. Could you stay here for a while? It’s already late, and I can’t drive you home.”
“I’m used to commuting, Sir. Just call Bryan instead.”
“What? I said, You’re staying here tonight!” Dean said.
“Yes, Sir. I heard you. I’ll just text my friend, okay?”
Why does he always have to intimidate me?
Why doesn’t he just go home to his grandfather’s house instead of bothering people?
When I woke up, I cooked breakfast for Sir Dean.
But where is he?
Ugh, why is his house so huge when he’s the only one living here? I feel like I’m going to get lost.
Where should I look for him first?
His bedroom—no one.
The bathroom—no one.
The library—still no one.
The garden—no one either.
The gym…
There he is. I knew it.
This place is exhausting.
“Um, Sir, breakfast is ready,” I said.
He walked toward me.
Oh my God.
He wasn’t wearing a shirt.
His abs…
It’s so hot!
“Okay, I’ll be there in a minute. Why are you staring at my abs? You like them?” Dean asked.
Is he crazy? Why would he ask me something like that?
“No, Sir… um… y—you should eat. I’ll go ahead and wait in the kitchen.”
Oh my gosh, Sir Dean is really built…
After breakfast, I went home for a while to change clothes.
“Your boss is going too far. That’s not even part of your job anymore, is it?” Ichay said.
“What are you talking about? It’s fine. I’ve been doing things like that for him for years. He just gets bored at home because he’s alone there,” I replied.
“What did you say? He’s alone? Jiiiiiliaaaaan!”
“Ugh! Your mind is so dirty! Do you really think I’d do something like that?”
I lightly smacked the back of her head.
Her mind really is dirty.
“I’m just worried about you,” Ichay said.
“Okay, okay. I won’t do anything like that.”
When I arrived at the hotel, someone stopped me before I could go inside.
“Hi. Um… why haven’t you been answering my calls or texts?” Junie asked.
“Really? Sorry, I’ve just been busy. Did you need something, Sir?”
“Just call me Junie. Don’t worry, I’m not a bad person. It seems like you’re scared of me, which is why you keep avoiding me.”
“N-No, that’s not it. How old are you?”
“Twenty.”
“See? You’re practically like my baby brother. Hahaha. I think you’re a good kid.”
“Baby brother? Okay, I’ll take that. Hihi. Since I’m your baby brother, maybe you could have lunch with me later?”
This kid really knows how to find a way.
“Lunch later? Sure.”
He’s still young, so I don’t see any harm in it. Besides, I don’t have any siblings, and I miss the children from the orphanage too. So I guess it’s okay to make a new friend.
“Are you having lunch with someone?” Sir Dean asked me.
“Actually, Sir, someone invited me to lunch.”
“Really? W-Who?”
“Oh, Sir, it’s just that annoying kid, Junie. I agreed because he’s actually kind of cute.”
“C-Cute? So you’re going on a date with him because he’s cute?”
“Oh, Sir, it’s not a date. I’m not ready for something like that yet.”
“N-Not ready, but… fine. Just go.”
What happened to Sir?
He wasn’t acting like this before.
DEAN'S POV:
My blood boils whenever she says things like that.
Why would she go on a date with him just because he’s cute?
How shallow!
And she says she’s not ready for a relationship, yet is she willing to go on a date with someone?
“Why are you here at my restaurant bar again?” Bryan asked.
“Jilian is driving me crazy! It’s so annoying. She’s going on a date just because she thinks some guy is cute? Huh!” I complained.
“Ooh, is that jealousy I hear? So you really do like Jilian, huh? Then court her. Hurry up, or someone else might beat you to it.”
“She just broke up with her boyfriend of five years.”
“So? You’ve been working together for years too.”
Bryan actually has a point.
Besides, I know I’m handsome, so there’s no way she’ll reject me.
Hahaha.
So I started courting her.
We went out together.
We went sightseeing.
We watched movies.
And now, I’m going to give her flowers.
“Sir, I’m going home now. Thanks for lunch,” Jilian said.
She was at my house, and I even cooked steak for her for lunch.
She’s so lucky.
She’s the only woman I’ve ever cooked for in my entire life.
“Flowers for you,” I said.
“These are for me, Sir? Wow, thank you!”
She’s definitely going to say yes to me now.
