I’m not a baby anymore
As I heard the pound of the alarm, I was already angry, I hadn’t even slept up to an hour or I was too tired to notice that I’ve slept more than 5 hours, it doesn’t count, I hate high school. At least I’ll be done in a few months.
Hi I’m Gracey Darwin and I’m 16 years old, I don’t really consider myself 16 anymore because I’ll be turning 17 in fewer months. I live with my parents and my little brother in Los Angeles. My mom’s a dietitian and a nurse and my dad is the owner of Darwin’s Air one of the biggest travel agency in Carlifonia. My brother Khalil is in 6th grade and annoys the hell out me,and there’s me, a 12th grader who is already tired of school
“I hope you aren’t lying on that bed except you need a whiplash!” I was jolted out of my imaginary interview, I recognized that voice even In my sleep
I scurried out of bed, that was my mom by the way. I made my way to the bathroom and almost screamed when my eyes came in contact with the mirror that was sitting still on the wall of my bathroom... it will be known to any man that I didn’t get enough sleep, i tried to cover it up with concealer after washing up and I think I did a great job, I’ve always wanted to be a celebrity makeup artist when I grow older
Clad in my uniform I climbed downstairs to join my family for breakfast “Thank Jesus you came out, I was about to come drag you down myself” my mom said giving me a glare, well she’s black and I don’t expect her to go easy on us especially when my dad acts i and my brother should be worshipped “I’ll be 17 in 3 months and you still treat me like I’m Khalil” I backfired and immediately regretted it because I could see her face turn sour, I got up from the chair to escape incase she threw something at me, don’t mind my mum, she isn’t always like this, what am I saying? She is always like this “ I’m not a baby anymore” I added before grabbing a piece of toast and running out of the house
“3,2,1...” I counted on my head with a little smile
Graceeee...! My mom shouted from inside, I giggled a little before joining my dad in the car...
