Chapter 16 “What do you think?” Caulette asked. She wore a navy and silver army uniform and twirled in front of a mirror. She adjusted the sleeves and stuck her sword in her belt. Brocc sat on the floor of the bedroom, flipping a coin. The house still smelled faintly of smoke, but everything had been cleaned up so that the children could move back in, the walls scrubbed and the windows replaced. It had taken many long, back-breaking days, but they did it because they had no choice. Brocc studied Caulette. His own uniform looked exactly the same.
