Behold the Apocalypse

The cloudy sky is lit up by streaks of lightning, a fog covers the land. The air is filled with ash, and the smoke, and the land is silent. Apollo, suited in a radiation suit, looks out over the distance, desperately needing water, and supplies. A truck is seen in the distance, an armored van, Apollo quickly moves to cover, but the trucks headlights grow closer, he has been spotted. Apollo, dashes toward the scorched tree line, the leaveless forest providing little cover. Truck doors slam behind him, and men with rifles step out, calling out to him in a foreign language. Two men approach the tree line, and Apollo, with nowhere to hide, holds his hands up, and surrenders. The two men look at each other, and speak in Russian, then say in English, “Do you have water?” Apollo looks down, and back up, “I know where to get some.” The man smirks, and looks to his companion. “Tell us where to get this water.” Apollo nods “Shall I get in?” The two men look to each other, and back to him. “No” one of them says. “You tell us, or you die.” Apollo retorts “I am not precise with directions, I need to visually see it.” One of the men approach him, Apollo remains composed, the man nods his head, and Apollo approaches the armored van, he gets in the back and the doors shut. The men get back in, and they ask him “Which way?” Apollo says “South, down this highway, for a couple miles.” The driver turns out, and the van begins rolling. The men spark up cigarettes, and keep a sharp eye on Apollo. Apollo looks down, suddenly seeing a bright light shining through the van, the vehicle suddenly stops in its tracks, slamming into another vehicle head on, Apollo flies to the front of the van, and everything goes black. An alarm goes off, and Apollo raises his head, his wife, Mia, looks over at him, “Get that please, it’s Saturday.” Apollo looks around, gasping for air, the world around him was normal.. “this isn’t possible..” he looks out the window, a rainy day, cars passing by. “What day is it?” Apollo asks. “It’s Saturday.. the 13th, your birthday?” “What? What year?” Apollo asks, frantically. Mia responds anxiously “What’s wrong, are you okay?” Apollo steps forward and grabs her by the arms, unsure if she is real, “I thought you were dead...”
