Ulterior Motive struggled on as a threesome. Kyle knew they struggled. They seriously missed another guitarist, and he started to come to the conclusion that Donal was not all that great with the instrument. He could sing and act the frontman, but he was not strong with the guitar. Kyle thought he would have been better, even though he did not have much experience with electric guitars and particularly not lead guitar, but Donal would have been useless with a bass guitar and they would not get by without a bass. So he said nothing, and neither did Sam.
