Do second chances really exist?

Aurora's life took a one hundred and eighty-degree turn for the worse after she married her late sister's fiancé.

Her husband, William, blamed her for her sister's death and hated her so much because of this, and swore to make Aurora pay dearly for taking away the love of his life. He uses every opportunity to remind her that she was the reason for his fiancée’s death and that he will never love her because his heart belongs to her sister, Gretel.

The insignificant wife.
"I will never love you, you killed your own sister so you could marry me, and you succeeded, but to me, you are a worthless wife, you mean absolutely nothing to me ." He said, not minding if she was hurt by his cruel words. Aurora’s broken heart bled the more whenever her husband uttered those words. He had no qualms about destroying her a little more each day. She felt pinpricks in her chest, as if that singular mistake she made would never be forgotten or forgiven. "William, dinner is ready" said Aurora, informing him as she walked into his study. She did not wait for a response, but entered with a tray in her hands containing his meal. William got up from his seat and took a few steps towards her. Aurora smiled innocently, thinking he would be pleased, but it was not to be. When he got to where she was, he forcefully flung the tray out of Aurora's hands, making the entire contents scatter all over the floor. Aurora felt helpless and sad, her eyes filled with tears immediately. "Listen to me attentively, Aurora, I will never accept anything that comes from you, you want to poison me just as you did with your sister?" William yelled with resentment. ‘William, this is not fair, for the past five years I have been trying to make you understand that I am not responsible for my sister’s death.’ Aurora said, defending herself for the umpteenth time. Suddenly, William's anger intensified. Hearing Aurora defend herself irritated him, because he thought there was enough evidence to prove that she was the one who killed her sister. He walked up to her and took hold of her neck, tightening his grip, so much that she could barely breathe. He was tempted to squeeze the life out of her, but death would be too fast and an easy way out for her. "I should do to you the same thing you did to your sister," William said as he removed his hands from her neck. Aurora fell to the ground holding her neck, trying to get her breathing back to normal. He had nearly cut the flow of air into her lungs. This marriage has become a nightmare. 'William, one day you will regret all of these things.' Aurora said, still coughing. 'I will never regret making you pay for the pain you caused me, and not just me, but also your mother.” He said. Aurora cried bitterly, she decided it was best to remain silent, and tried to walk out of the study, but William stopped her. "You're not leaving here without cleaning up this mess. It will be better for you to ensure this place is clean and with no food stain or smell.' he told her menacingly. Aurora clenched her teeth to keep her anger in check. She knew that one day she would escape from this painful and hurtful marriage. Flashback. William and Gretel's engagement dinner was a success. The guests at the party were well catered to and seemed satisfied. Gretel Colin looked radiant in a red dress with a sexy neckline. She was definitely the center of attention, and she felt every bit of it. "Gretel, you are the most beautiful woman on this planet," said her fiancé, William, as he took hold of her hand. "Thank you, darling!" she responded, feeling like she was walking in the clouds. Gretel took her future husband William by the hand, and they headed towards the study. Immediately they got inside, she locked the door. Gretel seduced William, gently pushed him onto the black couch, and straddles him while still passionately kissing him. They are soon overwhelmed with desire and hunger for each other, and they frantically undress themselves, engaging in a quick and passionate love-making session. Before Gretel got up from William's legs, she whispered something in his ear, leaving him stunned. "William, I'm pregnant!" Gretel says with a smile. William remained silent for a few seconds. He was stunned. He was going to marry the woman he loved and also start a family with her. "Are you serious?" he asked, nervously. "Yes, I am serious, my love. We're going to be parents. I am four weeks pregnant. I wanted to surprise you. Today is a very special day for us," she said. "I love you so much, Gretel. Thank you for making me the happiest man on earth. I promise to live only for you," he said, tears welling up in his eyes. He was truly happy about the news. A few minutes later, they returned to join the others in the party. William's smile was radiant after the big news, while Gretel seemed indifferent. "Congratulations on your engagement," Aurora said as she approached her sister. "Thank you! But we don't have to pretend, I know very well that you're not happy that I am about to get married to William. Ha! I'm so sorry that he never noticed you." Gretel said, being cruel to Aurora. "I don't see why you have to mock me. You're my sister, and my pain should mean something to you," Aurora replied. "It means nothing to me, and I am warning you to stay away from my future husband and the father of my child. I'm pregnant, dear sister," Gretel responded, gloating. Aurora was silent. She knew this was going to happen sooner or later. She had already caught them having s*x, but had kept it to herself. Gretel returned to William's arms with a smile. She was at her best, and nothing could ever go wrong. After the party at William's mansion, members of the Colin family returned to their home. Aurora's heart was heavy, but at the same time, she was happy. She wished with all her heart that her sister would be very happy, and it didn't matter if they loved the same man. All she wanted was for her unborn niece or nephew to have a family like she and her sister had. Days went by, and William's Bachelor’s Eve party approached. Ezequiel, his best friend, had prepared some surprises for his last day as a bachelor. He had organized a great party at his apartment, which was nothing out of the ordinary, but he had a surprise. He invited some female dancers who had their faces covered with masks, to entertain the guests and create a lively ambiance. However, no form of intimacy or touching was permitted between the girls and the guys at the party, they only had to watch them dance from afar. William knew his days as a bachelor had come to an end, that he should have eyes only for his future wife, Gretel.
