Prologue
Gus POV
Standing by the door looking around this house one last time before leaving—it wasn't nothing for me here or for my wife.
“Girl, if you don't hurry up and let's go before we be late,” Gus chuckled as he rushed her knowing he gonna be late himself.
“Don't ever rush a female, you don't ever do you that,” Kenya sighed as she looked around at their old house one more time before she walked out.
She always does this, he thought to himself as he waited for her to leave this house. He’ll never find nothing interesting for him or her at least her. Kenya is very picky when it comes to certain things they have to be her way or she will throw a major fit, have you guys ever seen a grown ass woman throw a fit like a two year old? I'ma have to show y’all one day but right now let me load this car up before she actually has a temper tantrum.
“Gus baby what's taking so long I'm ready to go,” Kenya pouts,
Gus shakes his head while putting the last bag in the truck, and walking to his side of the car then he gets in starting the car.
“Are you ready baby?” Gus's smiles looking at Kenya.
but his smile disappears when he sees that Kenya has an attitude, and she's pouting.
“What's wrong now?” Gus asked sighing while pulling out of the driveway of their old house.
“Nothing just drive, and leave me alone.” Kenya says with a major attitude.
Gus continues to drive to the airport so that won't be late fifteen minutes later they arrive at the airport with Kenya leaving Gus to get all of the bags because she is still upset, a nice man walks up, and asked me.
“Do you need help son? I smile because there truly is a God up there who saw my struggle,
“Yes sir I do please, and thank you so much!!”
“No problem at all” He smiled.
We took the bags in the building, and he sat them down when Kenya was she wasn't paying attention but I didn't really care at the moment she can have an attitude maybe I'll get some peace, and quiet I wanted to pay the man for his help; so I pulled two hundred out of my wallet, and handed it to him but he shook his head no.
“I didn't do it for the son I did it because I saw a young man in need of help after after his wife just walked away” He booked over at Kenya causing Kenya to look up at him.
“Young lady whatever you're upset about don't take it out on him, talk to your husband that's what he's here to listen.”
“But he wouldn't understand” Kenya sighed.
“You don't know that until you talk to him” The man smiled.
He was right, we just needed to talk, and since our flight wouldn't be here for a while why not talk now? I mean it's better to get it off your chest now then wait until later when there's people around, so while I waited for Kenya to gather her thoughts I sat there silently but also impatiently waiting it must be really bad if I have to wait this long for Kenya to tell me.
“Route to Memphis, Tennessee,” The guy shouted out a minute later after our plane showed up.
“Baby, that's us,” Kenya says as she was walking towards the door leaving Gus standing there speechless.
He sighed before leaving he turned around to see the guy was gone. He turned back around walking towards the door and walking on the plane and sitting right beside his wife.
“Baby, we need to talk about our situation with me getting pregnant and missing my cycle,” Kenya says but was mostly surprised at what she said out loud. “Come again! What you trying to say Keyna,” Gus chuckled as his tone was getting excited.
“What I'm saying is I missed my cycle Gus damnit!” Kenya semi yelled.
Which in return made people stare at us like we were crazy I looked, and mouthed I'm sorry so that they would all turn around, and stop staring or that would piss Kenya off even more which in return would make her cause a big scene, and the end result would be us getting kicked off the plane, and driving to Memphis Tennessee instead, and I can't be in car with Kenya for 11 hours, and 12 minutes I will go insane but I needed to know if Kenya was telling me that she's pregnant; but I'm not going to bother her on this plane ride I'll wait until it's over to ask her. A few hours later I wake up to hear the captain say.
“We're now landing in Memphis Tennessee I hope you enjoyed your flight.,”
I look over to see Kenya asleep so I gently shake her to let her know that we have landed Kenya stretches, and grabs her purse after I grabbed all the bags, I see that our car is waiting on us so I put the bags in the trunk, and take the keys from the valet I hop in the driver's side, and pull off as we are heading to the new house I decided to ask the big question.
“Kenya are you pregnant?” I asked while continuing to look at the road.
“Gus, just leave it alone please!?” Kenya sighed.
I couldn't understand why she didn't want to talk about it I mean if she is pregnant, I wouldn't be mad hell I'd be excited so why is she acting this way? We made it to our destination, and Kenya got out since she had the keys, and I was left to get the bags AGAIN, if she is pregnant, I hope that she doesn't act like this the entire nine months because I don't know how much more I can take.
