Loving the Bigger Girl

Walking into the school with my sister for another day of pretending to pay attention to the lectures and completing school work. My sister is younger than me doesn’t look anything like me, she has medium length red hair, freckles all over her face and a skinny build and short height. My sister isn’t my biological sister, but her family abandoned her at a very young age and my mother took her in. I have two brothers, one older and one younger. My older brother Cole and I are very close in age, not even a year apart. He is 6’1, bulky, brown hair, hazel eyes and friends with the popular group of people. My younger brother Jarred is 7 years younger, blonde shaggy hair, short, blue eyes and small build. Myself? Well I’m 5’3, thick build, long dark brown hair and grey/blue eyes. “Did you study for the history test today?” my sister Leah asked. “Sh*t no!” I suck at history, with being in sports I had to ensure my grades stayed at passing level or higher to not be benched or sat out at any games. We go to school with humans and it’s funny, because they don’t even know we roam amongst them. “Welp better hope you remember something on that test, love you!” Leah ran off to her first class. I began walking to my first class and my head down studying the notes from this week in history, hoping to at least pass the essay part. I slam into someone back and dropped all of my stuff. “I am so sorry, my face is in my notes.” Gathering all of my stuff off the ground. I look up and see one of the jocks, not just any jock, Connor. “That’s ok, you can always make it up to me.” Connor winked with a whispered voice standing right in the way I needed to go. “Don’t talk to loud, we don’t want all your other buddies knowing you are a chubby chaser.” I finishing grabbing my things while pushing past him and walking away. “Watch yourself next time!” Connor yelled after me. I felt his eyes watching me as I rushed off. Connor has always had a huge crush on me and always was trying to get me to meet up with him. At least I thought it was a crush, until I learned the sick game all the jocks play at our school. All the jocks draw names of all the freshman girls coming in and whoever’s name gets drawn they have to try and sleep with them. How my name ended up being in the pile, well I assume to make me feel more humiliated than I already do. Connor was the lucky guy to draw my name. Going on my second year of high school, he should have stopped by now. But he hasn’t and hasn’t ever left me alone. He once told me that he liked me and made me believe he actually had a crash on me. I learned quickly, that guys at my school like the chubby chase, but only in silence. I walked into class and choose a desk near the back like always. “Mayla what are you doing this weekend?” I look up and smile knowing it was one of the very few guys in the school that actually was nice and wasn’t after one thing Finn asked. “Probably hanging out at the stoop, then running off energy.” As werewolf’s, we shift anytime we can and let our wolf’s run free as much as possible. We have to keep a great connection with our inner wolf and ensure to keep our wolfs anger at bay. “Do you want to go run with me and a couple of my friends?” Finn had a huge smile on his face. Finn and I became friends pretty quickly when he moved here a couple years back. He is about my height, stocky, blonde hair and blue eyes. He is also a jock, he’s the one who told me about Connor. He’s always been a good friend to me and has refused to play the “sleep with the freshman” game. “Sure, Finn. What time do you want to meet?” “My buddies are coming tonight, do you want to meet around 12? Out at my place?” “Sure, I’ll bring Leah and probably see if Sarah wants to come.” Our teach began her lesson and I started to stress about the history test. It was Friday night and I knew that everyone would be drinking tonight, our first basketball game wasn’t for another couple of weeks so thankfully I had some time to enjoy my Friday nights. “May!” I turn around and see Sarah running up to me. “So how bad are you going to fail this test?” “Shut up!” I push Sarah playfully.“Wanna go running this weekend with Finn, Leah and me?” I asked Sarah, while we walked to our history class. “I can’t this weekend, going to my dads. But maybe next time.” Sarah’s parents divorced and both of them are actively involved with ensuring Sarah and her brother still have a normal life. It is not common that werewolf’s get divorced, but there are times that werewolf’s will mate with another if they cannot find their fated mate. This was Sarah’s parents situation. Sarah has a younger brother and sister. Her sister having a different dad than her. Sarah has been my best friend since preschool, much like my sister. She is tall, red/brown hair, blue eyes and slim build. She is also very intelligent, but also doesn’t really fit in nor is she an outcast. She gets along with everyone. I love her unique personality. “Tell him I said hi, don’t worry if there is cute boys there I’ll make sure to tell you all about it.” Just then Leah came walking up. “Leah we are going running with Finn and his friends tomorrow.” “I love how you tell me what to do and don’t even ask.” “Yep, so wear your best because these friends are from a different pack.” Leah smiled “Different pack boys, nice.” We smiled as we entered the classroom and sat down. Our teacher passed out our test, I looked down and knew I wasn’t going to do good. “God I am starving!” Finn yelled out as we entered the halls headed to the cafeteria. “You are always starving” I chuckled as the freshman ran past us trying to cut in line. As a freshman here, human or werewolf, if you didn’t beat the upper class man to lunch, they would steal your food. Boys are so weird and think it’s funny. Lunch went quickly as did the rest of the day. It was time for basketball practice and I was ready to finally let out some aggression. Today we were going to practice with the boys, getting changed all the girls were snickering about how they couldn’t wait to block out the guys. I was ready to knock Connor on his as*. Cole was in basketball so it was nice when it came to having practice with them. No body messed with me when he was around. Although we are close on age he was two grades above me. So he will be graduating soon and then I won’t have him there to slam Connor against a locker when he gets to handsey again. We began running drills and spilt up girls verse guys. After a couple of drills, I ended up having to block Connor, I had been lucky to avoid him until now. I stood right in front of him blocking him from the goal. Unfortunately my as* was right in his groin area. “To bad everyone is around is right now huh?” After that comment I shoved him back as hard as I could and didn’t even care. “Nice box out May!” I heard my couch yell as Connor fell to the gym floor. “Ya too bad all of your buddies saw you fall on your as*.” I smiled down at him running off. The rest of the practice, Connor was trying everything he could to get near me. “Careful Con, they are starting to notice you like em chubby.” I taunted Connor as he went for a shot. “I like when you rub up against me with your body.” I slap the ball out of Connor’s hands and take off down the court. I shot the ball up and then felt a body slam into mine. I landed on my back and someone landed on top of me, of course it was Connor. “I like this more, you underneath me.” Trying to catch my breath from the sudden fall to the ground and a body landing on mine. Cole came running over and helped me up “Watch it Connor, she is nice in here don’t catch her at night in the forrest.” Cole growled at the sight of Connor all over me. Connor jogged away after winking at me. “I swear I am going to rip his head off one of these days.” I grumbled under my breath. “Not if I do it first.” Cole growled out. Practice ended and I was ready to go run tonight. I needed to get more aggression out, Connor didn’t stop the whole practice with taunting me and throwing me around. I got home, threw my stuff in my room and took off out of the door. I texted my mom and let her know I was going for a run. I got to the edge of the forrest and heard footsteps. Leah came running up, she is also in basketball so she saw how Connor was and knew I was pissed. I told her everything, she knew about everything Connor had ever said or done. “Ready to go rip some trees apart wishing it was his head?” Leah shifted and stood there waiting for me. “Yes.” I growled out before shifting. Leah and I have a mind link, to be able to communicate while we are in wolf form. We took of howling and growling and letting our wolf’s take over. We both immediately came to a holt when we heard others running around. Sniffing the air, I knew one scent that was familiar, it was Finn. He and his buddies must be out running tonight as well. I yelled for him over mind link, so he would know we were here. “Hey! I thought you were going to the stoop tonight?” “Ya, well Connor pissed me off so Leah and I came to run out some aggression.” We chatted more before just meeting up. I must have been so focused on my anger and didn’t realize there was a scent that drew me wolf mad. When we got closer to Finn and his friends my nose started going crazy over a smell. Just then I saw Finn and three other wolf’s appear. Finn’s wolf, much like his human form, was blonde, stocking and had blue eyes glowing. My head whipped to one wolf though, the ones scent who was driving my wolf crazy. He smelled of rain and some kind of cologne. His wolf was matte black with a white spot on his chest, his eyes were crystal clear blue and he was big. Tall and very, very fit. I must have been staring to long because Leah’s wolf nudged my wolf with her nose. I looked at Finn and heard him ask “Wanna join us and run?” “Yes.” I didn’t even let Leah have a say before we all took off deeper in the woods. I kept running faster and faster clearing my head, but I couldn’t get that scent out of my nose. “I bet he’s good looking in human form too.” I heard Leah chuckle as if she could read my mind. “He smells so good.” Was the only reply I could think of. Leah’s wolf and mine started playing around as we thought about the matte black wolf running with us. We all finally slowed down and came to a clearing with a waterfall and such a beautiful view. My wolf taking it all in, closing her eyes and hearing everything around her. The animals roaming at night, the rushing water, the frogs and a lot of bugs. “Absolutely beautiful.” I heard a voice say, but not one that I knew. We all ran back to our houses and decided to meet at mine once everyone was back into clothes. “Finn, who’s your friends?” Leah asked as we all started walking towards a dock in our backyard. “Oh, this is Trey, Dexter and Kage. Guys this is Leah and Mayla, they are sisters.” “Hi.” We both said while waving. “Nice to meet you.” We got to the dock and each of us sitting down. “So how long have you known Finn?” I turn to Trey, Dexter and Kage. “His whole life pretty much, he was such a small pup.” Tyler answered while playfully punching Finn. “You?” Trey asked. “Since he moved here, we became friends pretty fast.” I replied with a smile. “Ya he isn’t a douche like the other guys in our school.” Leah laughed. “Definitely not like Connor.” Finn replied with a growl. “Who is Connor?” Dexter asked. Finn began explaining everything about Connor and who he was to his friends. “You should have seen him in practice with May.” Leah said with a gruff. “Sh*t you should have heard what he was saying in practice.” I growled out. Just then I felt anger building inside me, but it wasn’t my anger. Huh, that’s weird. “What did he say?” An angry, deep voice asked and I realized Kage was staring at me. Sitting in the moon light I got a better look at his human form. He was gorgeous. Short black hair, but long enough to still have some shag to it. Probably 6’2 at least, super built and full of muscle. Tattoos on his arms, hard jaw line and the most beautiful blue eyes. “Very disgusting inappropriate things.” I answered shaking my head remembering what he has said. “Like what?” The anger inside me grew more powerful. This is weird, I haven’t felt anybody else’s emotions before. I knew this wasn’t mine. “Making comments about my body being pressed against his. How he liked me being under him after he tackled me down when I stole the ball from him.” I answered with a gruff, staring at Kage forgetting anyone else was there. When I looked at the others they were staring between Kage and I. “He has been harassing her since last year, our brother Cole has already slammed him into lockers and threatened him.” Leah spoke up as if noticing Kage was growing with anger. My eyes were burning with anger and I felt like ripping Connor apart all over again. “I have even threatened him, but he doesn’t stop.” Finn chimed in. “Kage will be going to our school starting Monday. His family just moved here, that’s why they are all here.” Finn picked up a rock and chucked it in the lake. “You play basketball?” Kage asked me, his voice a little softer. “Ya, I love playing. It’s my favorite sport to play.” I answer with a smile, my heart started pounding and my breathing becoming shallow. Kage smiled back and my whole body became calm, “Mine too.” A simple answer, but I liked that simple answer. “He is staring at you like he is about to attack you.” Leah mind linked me as we continued to sit there. “I think I can feel his emotions.” I responded acting as if I wasn’t losing my mind. “I think I can feel Dexter’s.” She whispered back. We both sat there shocked, thinking that we were going crazy because of these new emotions we started feeling. “I smelt Dexter in the woods and it made my wolf go crazy.” Leah said cheerfully. “I smelt Kage’s and my wolf did the same thing.” We sat out on the dock for hours with Finn, Trey, Dexter and Kage. Dexter and Leah started talking and she looked happy. She even kept giggling, which she never does. Meanwhile, Finn sat close to me and the closer he got, the angrier Kage got. After talking with the other two guys, I learned that Trey would be graduating this year, same as Cole and Kage was a year above Finn, Leah and I. We all got up and started walking back towards my house. “We still meeting tomorrow to run?” Finn asked wrapping me in a hug. I heard a low growl enter my head and simply state mine. “Sure!” Leah responded before I had a chance to say anything. “May will text you when we are on our way over.” I quickly got out of Finn’s hug when I realized no one else had heard what I heard. What? I said within my mind. Hoping I would get a response. When I didn’t get one I just shook it off. “It was really nice meeting you guys, we will see you tomorrow.” I smiled shaking Trey’s hand, then Dexter’s. When I reached out to shake Kage’s my wolf started running around in my head. She was jumping and it seemed as if she couldn’t wait to touch Kage. When our hands touched my whole body ignited and my wolf started howling in my head. Kage’s eyes started flashing a different blue and i could see his wolf was going crazy in his head too. Oh, god does mine do that too? “Until tomorrow.” Kage growled out in a deep voice. It was hard letting go of his hand and walking away. But I could tell everyone’s eyes were on us. Tomorrow I will get to see Kage, in the day time and he’s going to see me. Sh*t he’s going to actually see me during the day. I started growing anxious. In the dark it’s easier to hide my body. But out in daylight? Not so much. What was tonight about anyways? I have never experienced this kind of emotion or going crazy over a smell. And why was Kage coming to our school staring Monday? I had so many questions.
