ELIJAH'S POV I stormed out of the hospital ward, feeling a deep sense of disappointment and frustration. After the time we spent together, I thought Emilia would understand me, trust me. I know it's like only two days we've spent together but I had hope, I mean we are mates. But her words cut me like a knife. I had opened up to her, shared my secrets, and yet she still doubted me. I thought our connection was stronger than that. I walked for hours, trying to clear my head. But the city streets seemed to blur together, and my mind was consumed by thoughts of Emilia and her refusal to trust me. I couldn't understand why she couldn't see the truth. I had been honest with her, vulnerable even. But it seemed like it wasn't enough. Eventually, I found myself at the edge of the woods, where we had shared countless moments of laughter, tears, and whispers. We had walked among these trees, hand in hand, exploring the secrets of the forest and our own hearts. It was here that we had shared our first kiss, under the ancient branches that seemed to witness our love. And now, I knew she would come here, searching for answers. And so, I waited, watching from the shadows as she approached the ancient tree. Her determination was palpable, and I knew I had to be careful. The truth was about to be revealed, and I wasn't sure if I was ready to face it...
