“Submit! Submit!” River growled at Luke who he had in a headlock. I squeezed Nicky’s hand as we watched Luke start to shift into his wolf under River’s grasp. Luke got away and turned to face River, his wolf growling and showing his teeth.
“Last chance, submit now!” River said cooling.
Luke lunged at River but he was too slow, River moved out of the way and shifted in the blink of an eye. A lot of people gasped at the sight of River’s new form.
