Chapter 7 - Sorry

“Yes little one, very powerful indeed, now go to sleep.” An unknown voice spoke in my head... My wolf!

“Wait...” I went to ask something but was cut off by snoring...

I have so many questions though! How did she fall asleep so quickly? Ugggh, I guess I’ll talk to her tomorrow morning.

I tossed and turned all night. I couldn’t sleep. Excitement strangled me at every moment. I eventually passed out only to be woken up in what seemed like minutes, by my alarm going off. I had to get up and get ready.

“Good morning little one.” My wolf said softly.

“Well, thanks for shutting me out last night! I had questions.” I replied in a sassy tone.

“Well, I’m up now. Get ready and ask away. Oh and by the way, Happy Birthday!”

“Thank you, and we will start off with, what is your name?” I ask as I change into my maxi dress I had picked out the night before.

“My name is Callisto, Greek for most beautiful and one of the moons of Jupiter. You can call me Calli for short.” She purred with pride.

“That is a beautiful name!” I gasped. “Okay, okay, are we the special Luna wolf that the prophecy for-tells of?” I ask as I apply my make up.

“I wanted to tell you to wait and see but, seeing in your mind that we met our mate and your eyes were glowing, yes Alice. We are very special. Not only in the ways of powers but, how I look as well. That will have to be a surprise.” She replied slightly excited.

“Powers and looks are a surprise, got it” I mentally note to her as I put on my gladiator sandals that go up to right under my knee. A power look for a powerful she-wolf.

My wolf pranced around agreeing on how good we look. She made me giggle. I grabbed my phone, keys, bag, which held my wallet, and books for school. After gathering all my stuff I walked out my door to my kitchen to grab my lunch. I went to go to the elevator when I caught a scent that was familiar but so much more delicious than I remembered it. Zane.

Callisto was going insane in my head over this magnificent smell whirling into our nose. Absentmindedly, we followed it down all the flights of steps, dammit Zane, and to the main kitchen. We stopped in the door way, hands full of stuff just fell to the floor. Still holding my keys we ran out and to my car.

“How could he Calli?” I cried out grabbing my chest as i unlocked the doors to the car and jumped in.

“I’ll rip that she-wolf apart Alice! Let me at her!” She yelled trying to bust through.

“We haven’t shifted yet! I can’t let you out until the full moon in two days. s**t i left my books. Poor R, I always call him to clean up my messes.” I said shaking my head.

“You are his future Luna, he will gladly do it for you. And our mate has some explaining to do and as far as I’m concerned it’s Zanes mess, not ours sweetheart.” She whined trying to fight the mate bond.

I drove off to the school and called Rj who said he already grabbed it and he’ll park right next to us to give it to us. He knew where I was going to go to avoid this issue. Chloe’s. Being a Luna I can’t run from my problems but this one i can avoid for a few hours. Happy Birthday to me.

“Mouse?” He questioned softly. “I brought you a cupcake too. Happy birthday!”

“Thanks R.” I sent a smile his way as I thanked him.

“Can you please stay in school. I don’t know what Zane did, but please don’t hide away on this awesome day. OH, what’s my best friends wolfs name?”

“Callisto” I stated while rocking from heel to toe slightly smiling.

“Ah, one of Jupiters moons. A wolf named after a moon is very special ya know.”

“It also means most beautiful. And really?”

“Yes mouse. Very special. Now lets get to class before we are late.”

Dang it this boy made me forget that I was going to avoid school today. I guess that’s what friends are for right?

I made my way to my locker as my long hair flowed behind me. Maybe i should put it up beings it was trailing my scent stronger. I don’t want Zane to find me. Even though the pull enough would let him find me. It’s his birthday too. Way to spend it.... I don’t sense him in school.

“I think he skipped with that mutt.” Calli grimaced.

I shuddered at the thought. Honestly I just want to celebrate my birthday without the thought of him at this point. So I walk to my 1st period and sit in a back row seat avoiding everyone.

As I’m writing notes, my phone buzzes and my stomach turns seeing the name on the screen. Can he leave me alone? I open it after a little hesitation. He asked why I wasn’t at chloe’s. No one knows that besides RJ cause he walked in for lunch one day after he took his drivers test. I asked him how he knew that I went there skipping out on telling him where I was. He followed me? Wtf. I let him know that he is weird and to leave me alone. Callisto really wanted to meet her mate and I kind of feel bad but Zane is a d**k right now.

I walk out of first period and I get a call...

“Yes?”

“Don’t forget we shift this weekend and have out ceremonies. I shifted early per moon goddess’s request but you shift this weekend during the full moon.” He states excitedly like nothing happened this morning.

“I don’t want to be Luna and after this morning, I don’t want to be your mate!” Calli is scratching to come out to call to her mate to bring him to the forefront of his mind. It would be easy for her but we haven’t shifted yet.

“It wasn’t what you think. Meet me at the pack house. Now”

“Whatever.”

With that I hung up and walked out of the school. Being the future Luna had its perks I guess. Got to my car and drove home. Walked to the rec room and texted Zane but as i looked up from pressing send I saw him looking at me. I sauntered over to him, seething in my rage. I smacked him across the face.

“I’m sorry you saw something this morning Alice but, it’s not what you thought it was. And you look stunning princess.”

“Don’t try to sweet talk me right now Zane Xavier Stone! Explain. Now.” I whisper yelled.

“She told me she was pregnant and happy birthday and kissed me.” He said avoiding eye contact.

“It’s not yours you know.” Callisto managed to jump forth. My voice changed slightly and everything. “That’s why the pup serviced you biting Alice.” Stating my name making it known she was out.

“Alice’s wolf!” He wide eyed. “How is that possible when she hasn’t shifted? What is your name? My wolf/your mate is named At...”

“Atlas, I know deer. ‘To carry’ and one of saturn’s moons.” He dropped his jaw in amazement. “I am Callisto, ‘Most beautiful’ and one of Jupiters moons. We are a powerful pair, Alice and I, and you and I, if you quit f*cking up.”

“I am sorry, I messed everything up for us. This was supposed to be a special time and now our mating and birthdays are screwed up, but Callisto, Alice, I promise, when this is all over I will spend the rest of our lives trying to make things right and to keep that smile on your face.”

“I’m glad you can admit to your mistakes. But, you ignored the fact that i said i know for a fact that the baby isn’t yours. Wouldn’t you like to know how I know such a thing?” Callisto asked as i watched things unfold wide eyed.

“I would like to know, yes.”

“Well because it’s one of my powers silly boy. I can tell when someone is lying, I can smell the blood of every wolf. And that my boy is no alpha pup and is farther in gestation than she is letting on. I think she found her mate and that is his pup. I also have other powers but you’ll have to wait for those.” She replied with a tight lipped grin.

“So is there a chance we could fully mate and you and Alice be my Luna?”

“I’m a wolf, I’m all for the mate bond. You hurt Alice, the skin side of me isn’t as forgiving. I’ll let her out now. I had to let you know what I knew about that mutt that was around your neck. Take a shower, you reek of wh*re” She deadpanned.

“Zane.” Alice/I was back.

“Alice, I am so so so sorry.” He pleaded now on his knees.

“If you are, Let me mark you.. And Lesley is to be banned from the pack house and put in a cabin until we can get a paternity test.” I snapped. “ I trust Callisto but, Alpha Mark will need paper proof.”

“I will do anything for you my princess! I promise to never hurt you like this again.”

I break down crying and fall into his arms. We were now a big pile of mess on the floor. He picked me up and carried me to my room. He changed me into pj’s and tucked me in letting me know he will be back in a minute.

He came back in sweatpants and a t-shirt. He got into bed and pulled me close to him. My face buried into his chest while he played with my hair. The tears still slowly rolling down my cheeks over my nose and onto his t-shirt. Why would the moon goddess make me the chosen one and make my life this way. I have to try and think about the good and that Calli can smell all wolves blood. That will forever come in handy. Especially if someone has been messing with dark magic. Once you go dark your blood goes foul. One of the many of the moon goddess’s punishments. Speaking of the moon. The full moon, I’m going to be shifting soon.

“Alice?” He says with his voice hoarse from holding back tears.

“Zane?” I whimper

“I’m beyond sorry baby. I never meant for any of this to happen.” He apologized, still hoarse and kissed my forehead which only made me cry more.

Secretly pining over your best friend/ future alpha for years to find out he is your mate but all this drama unfolds and you can’t even enjoy it.

“Atlas wants to talk to you if that’s okay?”

“Yes he hasn’t hurt me.”

“Alice, Zane has screwed us all over but let us fix it. I need my mate. You need yours. I want to meet and be with Callisto.”

“I’ll let her out so you can meet her.”

“Thank you little one.”

Callisto and Atlas ended up starting something in our skin sides. Zane and I had to reign them in. They’ll have their turn. The smell of our arousals in the air were blanketing us. So thick, as it teased us. Zane then started to kiss me. I decided to kiss him back and one thing led to another.

Zane pumping in and out of my entrance about let loose. I took this as the chance. I let Callisto forth to bring out her teeth and we marked Zane. He growled out so loud that the bed shook like crazy. Only the wolves had to mark each other now.

“Baby, I love you so much. It hurts me to see you hurt. I deserve it, you don’t my deer.” Saying sweetly as he rubbed the back of his knuckle on my cheek.

“Zane..” I sigh “I love you too but it’s going to take a lot more that the mate bond to make me fully trust you and fully forgive you.”

“All I’m asking for is a chance. I will prove it to you princess, It’s always been you, drinking screwed me over.”

I just nodded as he pulled me into him. We dozed off forgetting we had our birthday party tonight.

BUZZ BUZZ BUZZ

“Hello?” My voice hoarse from sleeping

“Get up lazy a** you and zanes party is in 3 hours!”

“OH SHI*T” with that i hung up and jumped out of bed bed.

“ZAAAANNNEEEEE!” I screamed. “ We have to get ready for tonight!”

He jumped up, kissed my forehead and ran out the door. We both had to get ready and I finally get to wear my dress!

“Let’s gooo girrlll” Callisto giddy yelled in my head.
