His heart was torn between his engagement to me and the rekindled feelings for Leticia. He didn't know what to do or who to choose.Jade was afraid of hurting me but he couldn't deny his feelings for Leticia. He was trapped in a love triangle, unsure of how to escape. He knew he had to make a choice but what would it be? would he follow his heart, or would he stay committed to me?Jade and Leticia started seeing each other, and the connection between them was undeniable. They talked for hours, sharing stories, and laughter and Jade felt alive again.As they spent more time together, Jade realized his feelings for Leticia went beyond nostalgia. He had strong feelings for her, and he couldn't ignore them.Despite his feelings for Leticia, he felt guilty about chasing her back while being engaged to me.He knew he had to end his engagement, but he was scared of hurting me.Jade knew he had to make a choice between me and Leticia. I could see that I was losing his interest and wondered what I could possibly do to gain him back. I was really dying gradually because I loved Jade very much, I couldn't think of a world without him. I was uncertain of what to do next. I thought of confronting Jade about my feelings, or should I wait and see how things play out?.I felt highly betrayed by jade's action.I decided to confront Jade about my feelings. I wanted to know why he was still pursuing Leticia and what he planned to do about our engagement.Jade couldn't give me a reasonable answer. Then I gave him an ultimatum “choose between me and Leticia. I can't continue in a relationship, where I am not a priority.”I picked up my phone and dialed Leticia's number. I took a deep breath, preparing myself for the conversation.“ Leticia, it's Lia. I know about your feelings for Jade, and I am willing to make you a deal. I will give you a substantial amount of money if you leave Jade alone and walk away from our relationship.”I said confidently.Leticia was taken aback by my proposal. She hadn't expected me to take such a direct approach.“What makes you think I’d be interested in your money?” She asked, her tone measured.We negotiated the terms of the proposal. I was determined to protect my relationship with Jade, while Leticia was weighing her options.I waited, hoping that Jade's feelings for me would reignite. I gave him space, thinking that maybe with time, he would realize what he had in our relationship.But as the days turned into weeks, I realized that nothing had changed. Jade's mind was still preoccupied with Leticia, and our relationship continued to drift apart.I felt trapped in a circle of pain and frustration. I loved Jade, but his feelings for Leticia were high.I cried myself to sleep every night, feeling like I was losing the person I loved. I couldn't understand why Jade couldn't see what we had.I felt desperate to hold onto him. I tried everything to win him back, but nothing seemed to work.The heartache was suffocating, and I felt like I was drowning in my sorrow, unable to escape the pain.With a heavy heart, I decided to take matters into my own hands.I knew I couldn't force Jade to love me, and I couldn't also bear the sight of him with another woman. I decided to end it all.On a Thursday morning, and exactly 11:am, when Mom and Dad were out for work, I was alone in the house. The only thought that enveloped me was to commit suicide.I left the house, came outside and took a strong wire I found in-between our building and our neighbor's house.I quickly took it and rushed inside. Unaware that our neighbor was inside and observing me from the window.He noticed my strange behavior, and suspected that something was wrong, but he couldn't get hold of exactly what it was.He decided to come check on me in our house, because I left the doors unlocked so that my parents could have access to my location and take care of my hanging body Unknown to me that there would be an intervention.Before my neighbor could reach out to me, I had already hung myself on our dangling ceiling fan. But I was very lucky because Dafne came in as soon as I took the action.“Lia! What are you trying to do? Do you mean killing yourself, and for what?” Dafne screamed and rushed to my rescue. He quickly cut the wire and I fell to the ground breathing lifelessly.My good neighbor Dafne, still took me to the nearest hospital where I was resuscitated, and I came back to life.The news of my suicide was broken to my parents and they rushed to the hospital. With great frustration in their eyes, they asked to know what prompted my decision.Though they already know about my feelings for Jade and his recent treatment of me. They knew it was because of Jade's love diversion that made me take the deadly action.My father quickly called Jade and told him everything.
