Chapter - 93

1547 Words

Grace - POV When I look in the mirror, I see a stranger staring back. My soul has found a new home—my skin is dusky instead of pale, my red hair has shifted to a deep brown, and my once chocolate-brown eyes now shimmer a vivid green. I slip into a sunny dress, its fabric light against my newly toned frame, and step out of the small wooden house that had sheltered us for so long. Sarah and Marie lead me to the heart of the forest, where we plan to teleport off this secluded island. “Are we really using teleportation magic to get to California?” I ask, still wrapping my mind around it. “Compared to public transport, teleportation is safer and saves us a lot of money,” Marie explains with a grin. “But I’m going to miss these little houses,” Sarah murmurs, her voice tinged with nostalgia.
