Chapter Twenty-One
THE ENTIRE SIDE of her head screamed in pain as she tried to force her eyes to open. Her chest also hurt like hell, and for a moment, she couldn’t remember why she was in such pain. She tried lifting her hand to brace her head, but her arm wouldn’t move.
With her brows pinched in confusion, she lifted her head, trying to roll over to look at her arm, but her chest wouldn’t lift, either. “What the…?” Opening her eyes, she noticed a thick strap across her chest as well as two others, one around each arm. She could only lift her neck. Glancing down her body, she saw another strap across her legs. Okay, this isn’t good.
