Chapter 26When Montreal entered the room, Thoth waved to him from his position on Juniper’s lap.
“Ah, here you are. Juniper and I took advantage of being alone and unobserved to spend some moments enjoying quiet intimacy.”
“I quite understand.” Montreal held up his hands. “I thought you may like that tour now. But if you’d prefer a little more time…?”
“Not at all.” Thoth stood and Juniper joined him. “We’ve had enough of sitting around. As pleasurable as it was. Back to business. I’m looking forward to seeing your ship. Your comrade isn’t joining us?”
“No. She’s busy keeping an eye on things.” Montreal moved, seemingly blocking Thoth, and turning his back from his previous position before giving a wink.
“A busy woman, no doubt.” Thoth grinned and nodded, schooling his expression into
