16 : A dream?

“Stop it,” I pushed him away with a blush on my face. My reaction made him chuckle, seeing me so embarrassed. What a jerk.

“But I’m doing absolutely nothing,” Noah smiles at me and steps back from me with his palms up in the air, like he is surrendering himself to the police,” I was only joking, kitten. Will you forgive the big bad wolf?”

I let out an exaggerated sigh that was supposed to convey annoyance towards him, but he was still smiling down at me. He was so sweet to me.

It wasn’t fair how good-looking he was. “Yeah sure,” I grumbled and turned around, trying to hide my embarrassment from him.

“You have no idea what you do to me, Lily,” I could hear his smile in his voice when he said this which only made me blush even harder.

Why did I have a problem accepting compliments and liking them? I knew why, but I just didn’t want to acknowledge it. It was embarrassing because I was already embarrassed about being attracted to him as it was.

“Well, now you are definitely going to get some revenge later,” I say while walking into his kitchen. I had to get myself under control before he saw any evidence of how flushed my cheeks were.

“Revenge? Now, baby doll, don’t you mean something else?” Noah walked behind me to touch me but before he can place his hands on me, I duck between his arms and run to the other side of the kitchen counter.

When I felt safe from his grasp, I turn back around slowly so I could look directly at him.

He looked like he has never been more amused in his life. Why was he laughing at me? His eyes danced across my face and down to my cleavage. Oh god, this man was shameless.

“Hey! Eyes up here, Wolfie,” I scowled at him.

How dare he call me ‘Baby Doll’. If it wasn’t for the fact that he saved me, I would probably have punched him by now.

“Sorry, I’ve got a little crush on you,” he smirked at me and I rolled my eyes at him, trying not to seem affected by his words.

“Just stop, we just met and you already think you are the boss of me,” You say and look away from him.

I couldn’t stand the sight of him knowing about my feelings. They were too overwhelming for me.

“Okay, alright. But you know, Lily,” I heard him walk closer to me, his fingers gently grasping my chin and forcing me to look at him again, “We are not just meeting. We were meant to meet. The universe has a funny sense of humor.”

His smirk turned into a small pout and he leaned forward till our faces were inches apart. His breath fanned over my face and I tried hard not to close my eyes.

He seemed mesmerized by my own reactions and I swear, it almost took away my ability to speak.

Before my mind could conjure another thought, he pressed a small kiss to my forehead before moving back a few steps so I could breathe properly again.

“Sorry about that, can’t help but tease my little mate.”

His words made me avoid his gaze,” I’m not really comfortable with that knowledge yet, I need to get to know you first.”

I felt guilty for making things weird between us but it didn't matter. I wanted to be with him. There was no denying it. I just needed more time to get to know him and figure out how we fit together.

He raised an eyebrow at that response,” So you are saying if you get to know me, you will give me a chance?”

I couldn’t help but hear his hopeful tone in his voice so I answered,” If you don’t push me, I will but so you know, you rescued me from the bad guys who are after me but because it is because of you, I will not fall for you so easily. It’s not like I recently got to know about the supernatural world where superbeings exist. Not casual at all!” I threw my hands up in the air.

The look of amusement on his face made me realize how ridiculous I sounded like. I should’ve kept quiet. This is why I don’t like talking much. I always seem to be the one spilling unnecessary information.

I felt a hand gently touching mine and I immediately flinched at it. I quickly glanced up at Noah and was caught off guard by his worried expression. I guess he realized that he hurt me when I flinched away from him.

“Don’t worry, little mate, I won’t hurt you,” he pulled his hand back and smiled at me softly.

“I-I know,” you stammered, feeling shy all of a sudden,” Sorry for reacting that way.”

Noah chuckled lightly before grabbing two glasses off of the sink, “If there’s anything wrong, please tell me, baby girl. I care about you as you’re my mate and I wouldn’t mind hearing it out loud.”

My heart warmed at his words and I found myself blushing at them as well. “Thank you,” I muttered quietly.

Noah gave me an encouraging smile and placed the glasses next to each other on the counter. I took a deep breath before letting my courage take over and asked the dreaded question,” Well, what am I supposed to do about this… relationship thing…” I trailed off awkwardly.

He moved closer towards me, his eyes softening. “Is this something that you would prefer… I can understand it is a lot to handle.”

I bit my lip nervously and nodded. He sighed before coming around the counter and pulling me into him. I gasped as his warmth enveloped me and his strong scent filled my nose. When he leaned in for a hug, I instinctively wrapped my arms around him as well. He rested his head against the crook of my neck and I could feel his warm body relax beneath me.

It felt like an eternity but eventually, Noah pulled away. “Come on, let’s get something to eat. We will discuss our plans later.”

I nodded and followed Noah to prepare our dinner together.

After our meal, Noah led me to the guest room showing me where everything was. It was a large and spacious room with two large beds along both sides. The walls were painted white and the bed sheets were blue.

I could see Noah’s smile as I examined the bedroom. I loved how homey it appeared. “This place is wonderful! Thank you, Noah, this looks great!” I gushed.

“It’s no problem. Anything to make you smile, kitten,” Noah winked at me causing me to choke on my saliva.

Damn it, Noah.

“So I’ll go put your clothes in the closet and bring you some pajamas.”

“Noah, please.” I plead him, begging him to kiss me, touch me, anything so my desire for him ends but it was impossible as I stared at his naked torso making me feel hot in all places.

Noah’s mouth curled into a playful smile as he leaned in until his lips were millimeters away from mine and whispered,” Why are you so cute, baby doll? I can’t wait to taste you. Do you want that?”

“Yes! Please!” I yelled in frustration and pushed him on the bed while getting on top of him to try and pin him down.

Unfortunately, I forgot that Noah was stronger than me due to him being an Alpha wolf. He lifted his head up and slammed his palm into my face.

“Noah!!” I exclaimed rubbing the sore spot in front of me. How dare he hit me!

“Now then, what’s wrong? Is this not what you had in mind?” he said smugly as he looked down at me on top of him.

“Yes, it’s exactly what I want but you didn’t have to hit me!”

“That hurts doesn’t it, baby doll?” Noah grinned triumphantly as he cupped my cheek in his hand.

I closed my eyes, trying to resist the urge to lean into him,” Yes, it does, Noah. Now give me what I want or else!”

A mischievous glint shone through Noah’s dark yellow eyes. I gulped nervously when his eyes roamed up and down my face seductively. He suddenly sat up and with force pushed me down under him this time.

My breathing hitched when his hot breath fanned over my face, making me want to drown in his delicious scent.

“Do you know how long it took for me to find you, baby girl? Did you know that the moment I saw you again, my entire world stopped spinning. I thought maybe this time I was finally going to find the one for me. And now you are here. You are the only one who gets to have this effect on me,” Noah murmured in my ear.

His hot breath sent shivers down my spine. My heartbeat quickened even faster. He placed his right arm behind my neck and brought me closer, pressing his hot mouth onto mine. As his tongue traced mine, I felt sparks explode within me.

“Oh, baby girl. I missed you so much.” Noah groaned against my lips, kissing me passionately.

Our bodies intertwined, making our hips rub together in sensual ways sending shocks all throughout my body.

He broke the kiss before looking me in the eye,” You still have much to learn about this kind of lovemaking, sweetheart.”

“That’s why you are here, right? To teach me,” I teased, smirking at him.

He smiled at my response and kissed me once again, his thumb caressing my cheek as it grazed my skin. A rush of pleasure went through me at his light touches.

“Let’s see how good you are.” His smirk turned cocky as he held me tighter against him. He started moving his hips slowly making me moan in pleasure.

When he noticed my discomfort he stopped and looked at me apologetically. I shook my head frantically, telling him it wasn’t his fault, and continued to move my hips slowly. His smirk grew wider and he picked up speed, bringing me even closer.

I could feel his erection pushing against my pelvis which had my eyes widening at the realization of exactly what was happening between us.

He pressed his lips against mine again, deepening the kiss and I responded instantly.

“Mmm, Noah,” I moaned into his mouth.

“Baby girl,” He growled lowly as he began sucking at my bottom lip.

“Noah!!” I shrieked when I accidentally bit his neck, drawing blood.

Noah paused before asking quietly,” Did you just marked me?”

I looked at him with wide and pleading eyes. He seemed to be debating something inside of his mind before replying,” Yeah, I will happily return the favor.” He kissed me briefly before placing himself fully between my legs.

His movements weren’t gentle, they were harsh and fast causing my whole body to burn in pleasure.

I felt myself beginning to come undone. My back arched slightly as Noah continued to thrust roughly against me. I couldn’t help but moan loudly when I came, leaving my throat raw from the intense sensation.

Noah let out a quiet groan when I did and buried his face in the crook of my neck, biting harshly and nipping at the skin, leaving marks that made me weak at the knees but the last bite made me almost pass out when he withdraw his canines from my flesh, leaving a trail of blood behind.

“f**k…” He breathed deeply into my ear as I wrapped my arms tightly around his neck, my fingers tangled in his thick brown locks. My nails gently scratched across his scalp and he let out a deep grunt of pleasure which made me shudder uncontrollably.

I looked down at his bare chest as it rose and fell rapidly from his heavy breaths. As I tried to speak, some light suddenly consumed me and I woke up.

Gasping, I sat up on the side of my bed feeling my chest tighten as I looked around.

What happened last night? Why did I dream of Noah? What the hell did he do to me?! I could still feel the lingering effects of his mark on my neck. No, scratch that! I remember every detail. Every single f*****g detail.

But why that dream felt so real though?

As my thoughts raced around my mind, I heard footsteps heading towards the door. I quickly stood and smoothed my pajama shorts as I walked towards it. When the knob twisted, I flung the door open revealing Noah.

Speaking of the devil…

“Hey there,” he smiled softly at me.

“Good morning!” I replied as I forced a smile to appear on my face. I really hoped the expression wouldn’t show any trace of what I was thinking.

“How do you feel today?”

“I’m fine thanks to you, Noah.”

Noah chuckled lightly,” I’m glad you enjoyed yourself last night.”

“Yeah, I did. Thank you,” when I realized what have I said, I froze and quickly tried to correct myself,” I mean for the rescue and dinner yesterday. Not for something else. It’s not like we did something else, ” I giggled awkwardly, now flushing because of my thoughts about the dream.

Great, now I sound like a crazy person!

I mentally slapped myself.

Noah looked at me with an intense gaze like he knew something about me but choose to ignore it as he tried not to smile.

After a few seconds of silence, I coughed trying to change the subject,” So what are we gonna do today?”

“Well, I have a meeting with my beta after an hour so you can stay here or come with me if you want.” He offered.

“Umm, you will not attack him again, right?” I asked hesitantly.

Noah looked confused,” What do you mean? I would never hurt my Beta, he is one of my most trusted pack members. Are you doubting our bond?”

“You were acting strange last night, Noah, when he made a joke,” I explained.

“Last night I wasn’t acting strangely, he was doing something he shouldn't have done,” Noah stated firmly.

“It was just a simple joke, Noah. That is not unusual,” I said.

“I don’t take jokes well.”

“Yeah, I couldn't tell,” I muttered under my breath.

“What was that?” His eyebrow rose, challenging me to make another comment.

“Nothing, I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to say it out loud.” I gave him a sheepish smile.

Noah chuckled,” Let’s go. There’s no point talking about it anymore. We will get breakfast before we go so get ready.”

“Yes, sir.” I curtsied sarcastically, to which Noah growled and pulled me towards him.

“Just stop mocking me.” He said gruffly pulling me close and placing a soft kiss on my forehead.

I smiled softly with a blush on my cheeks as Noah pulled away from me. I watched as he turned in the doorway and left without another word.
