Pacing the length of the floor I awaited them while my system was alert due to presentiment. Trying to shrug it off, I sat on the chair browsing through my phone. Not long when Mr. Hamilton arrived and gave me a tight smile. He appeared to be irresolute.
None of us saying anything as we waited for Iris to come but the clock ticked away without any sign from her. Sighing loudly and feeling uneasy, I excused myself trying her number. It kept ringing but no one answered. After trying for twice, my fingers shook as I dialed Derek’s number.
