Chapter 12A buzzing sound woke Danny up from a deep sleep. He was so groggy he had to look around the room to realize he was in his own bed and Ian was sleeping next to him. Thanks to the blackout curtains, his room was completely dark, so Danny had no clue what time it was. As he lay there trying to remember why they were in his house, the buzzing sound returned. It took a minute to realize that it was the doorbell. He quickly threw on a pair of shorts and a shirt and went to answer the door.
“What took so long? I hope I wasn’t interrupting anything,” Jess said as she walked into the apartment.
“Sorry, we were sleeping. What time is it?” Danny asked.
Jess looked at him curiously, “Eight o’clock.”
“Eight? Did we sleep all night?”
