Chapter 13At ten o’clock the next morning Jess called Danny. “Hi, how’s Ian this morning?”
“He’s doing a little better,” Danny responded.
“I’m glad to hear it. How were you able to calm him down?”
“I let him cry for a while. Then we had dinner, watched some TV, and then went to bed. He slept for quite a while. He needed the sleep,” Danny said, leaving out the details that made him smile.
“Is that all you did? Did you help him relieve his tension in any other way?” Jess teased. She knew Danny well enough to know there was more that happened.
