Chapter 22“Good morning! I hate to wake you when you were so sound asleep, but I have to take your vitals,” Todd said, waking Ian.
“Good morning. It’s good to see you again. Did Connie go home already?” Ian asked sleepily.
“Yes, her shift is over and mine is just starting. How are you feeling today?”
“I’m sore, but doing okay.”
“I’m glad to see your boyfriend got a real bed and is able to get some sleep. You must have pulled some strings to get the hospital to allow that,” Todd said, looking over at Danny.
“Well, money does talk. That, and being forced to stay here under police protection probably didn’t hurt either,” Ian chuckled.
“I see they decked your room out nicely. Where did the hospital dig up that giant TV?”
“I had my assistant get it from Best Buy.”
