Chapter 23Dana decided not to have a big funeral for Shane, instead she opted for a short, graveside service. After the casket was lowered into the ground, the mourners went up to offer their condolences to Dana. As Ian and Danny waited for their turn to talk with Dana, they looked around at the people who had attended Shane’s funeral.
“Danny, look over there,” Ian whispered, nodding to a handsome gentleman standing about fifty feet away from the other mourners. When the man saw Ian looking at him, he turned and pretended to be looking at the headstone in front of him.
“What about him?” Danny asked.
“I’m almost positive that’s Lance Landry, the guy Gordon paid to leave Dana and never return.”
“Are you sure? He looks like he’s visiting someone’s grave and not here for Shane’s funeral,”
