Chapter 24Ian was surprised when Dana answered the door herself. “Good morning. How are you holding up?” he asked.
“I’m doing a little better each day. Come in. I thought we could have lunch out by the pool,” Dana said.
“It’s a beautiful day and not too hot, so that sounds really nice,” Ian responded as he followed Dana out to the pool. Noticing that lunch and drinks were already on the table, he added, “This looks really nice.”
“Thank you. Claudia prepared everything. She was kind enough to do it before she left. This is her day off and she likes to go and visit her friends. I’ve been curious ever since we chatted yesterday. What’s this proposal you have for me?” Dana asked.
“Your father wanted each of his girls to have half of the company. I had no idea that you had sold your half of
