Coming back home
My name is Isabella Smith, but all my friends call me Bella. I am a 28 years old singer and today is the day when I am going back home. Chicago is the last place on earth where I wanted to go, however, the circumstances of my life have changed and I am going home.
I put all my thing in the boxes, closed the door to my house in New York and got into my car. The movers should come by this evening to take all the boxes and bring them to Chicago by tomorrow evening, so all the luggage I took was some clothes and some personal things.
A few hours latter I got in front of the house I grew up in and took a deep breath. I knocked at the door and in a few minutes it sprung opened to reveal a pair of blue eyes "Bella, sweetheart, I so happy to see you!" my mom hugged me like she hasn't seen me in months, even though we saw each other last week when she came to see me and I told her about my plans to come back home.
"Hey mom, it's good to see you again. I missed you too!" I said exchanging the warm hug.
"Honey, are you not eating again? You look very pale and also you have lost a few kilograms." she said eyeing me from had to feet.
"I am okay mom. Stop stressing around. You know how I lose weight when I am stressed out. I will gain my kilos as soon as possible since I am back home with your cooking." I reply smiling.
We were in the living room and she abruptly turned around and sprinted to the kitchen.
"Oh my God, I almost forgot about my cookies." I hear her yelling from the kitchen
I was about to ask her why she was baking them, when I entered the kitchen and saw all the food put on the table "Mom...why there is so much food in here?" I asked shocked by the amount of food I was seeing.
"Oh honey, I forgot to tell you, we are hosting a party for you. I am so glad that you are home that it just slipped my mind to tell you." she said with a smile on her face.
As I was about to protest I heard a knock at the door "This conversation is not over." I replied while getting to the front door to see who was our guest.
