*Present time*
Daniel felt the cold of the floor underneath his body. He was extremely sore, and it hurt to move. He struggled to open his eyes, but when he did, he could see nothing but darkness, aside from the moonlight that illuminated through the bars of the window. Where was he? He ponders, struggling to sit up. His hands gripped into the dirt as he tried to steady himself. His head was throbbing, and upon touching his fingers to his forehead, he felt the large gash that decorated it. He winced, immediately removing his hand. Visions of hitting the table in Cassidy's home flashed like a movie in his mind. It was her. She had pushed him into the table. She had injured him...but how? "f**k" He yelled into the darkness. It pissed him off thinking about it. She had yet again managed to get away from him. Daniel slammed his fist into the dirt. This was all her fault! If she would have just admitted how badly she wanted him, none of this would have happened. He always got what he wanted, why did she have to be any different? Daniel stared at the bars on the window and the dank room. What the hell was this place?
"Oh how the people talk"
"Oh how they seem to shout"
"Of all the things that frighten them"
"Of what may come about"
"And as I listen to their words"
"I can't help but smile in glee"
"For the thing that will soon kill them all"
"Is none other...than me."
Daniel turned to the darkness, attempting to figure out where the voice came from. Slowly a figure walks into the moonlight. Daniel's eyes widen. "Mr.Vincetti?" Miccoli says nothing in response and continues to take in the sight of Daniel. He wanted to attack him, his blood fuming. He clenched his fist tightly at this side. There was a plan, and he had to stick to it. "What am I doing here?" Daniel asks, and Miccoli couldn't help but smile.
"I bought you here."
"I gathered...but why?"
"You tell me."
Daniel watched as the lines on Miccoli's face begin to harden. He knew. If he bought Daniel there, then there was no way he didn't. "I-It's not what you think." Daniel stammered, attempting to stand. "Oh...so you didn't try to r**e Mrs. Knight?" Daniel stared at Miccoli. He didn't like how calm was...he was unnerving.
"I-I"
"You know..as much as I would love to hear whatever bullshit excuse you want to sell me, the reality is I am a very busy man so let's get on with this why don't we?" Miccoli takes a step toward Daniel and smiles when Daniel nervously steps back.
"Are you afraid of me, Mr. Andrews?"
"I'm afraid of nothing."
"Your heartbeat tells a different story." Sweat pooled at the top of Daniel's head. Miccoli was right. He was terrified. "You know when I saw you unconscious on the floor, and then I looked over and saw Cas-Mrs. Knight bruised, bloody frame." Miccoli gritted his teeth and took a deep breath. Seeing Cassidy like that almost broke him, and the man standing in front of him was to blame. "I wanted to kill you right there...but then a thought came over me."Miccoli slowly circled Daniel, and Daniel fought hard to keep him in sight. Each time Miccoli's frame disappeared from the light of the moon, he could have sworn two red dots replaced it.
"This couldn't possibly be your first infraction, and of course I was right."
"I can-"
"It would behoove you not to interrupt me again." Daniel immediately closed his mouth. It was something about the way that Miccoli said that that made his skin crawl. He didn't know much about him aside from their work relationship, but if he had to guess, he was dangerous. "As I was saying, of course, I was right..you're as deplorable as I thought. I was surprised however-." Miccoli takes another step toward Daniel, causing him to further retreat against the wall. He looked up at the moonlight cascading down, and then back to Miccoli. He wanted to scream, Miccoli was smiling again, and he looked absolutely sinister. "When I found out that one of your MANY victims included a very beautiful brunette waitress by the name of Melissa." Daniel started to speak but immediately thought better of it. Melissa. He hadn't heard that name in a long time.
"She was an intern...who looked up to you...and you f****d the hope right out of her." Another voice, much angrier rose from the darkness. Daniel's eyes shot in its direction. Another man came into the light. He was shorter than Miccoli, but still quite tall. What he lacked in height, he made up in muscles. His face was smooth, and his pale blue eyes resembled Miccolis'. "She trusted you." He said, lunging at Daniel. Daniel shut his eyes, preparing for the attack, but it didn't come. He opened his eyes to see Miccoli holding the man back. "Easy Ramsey." He said. Miccoli had never seen Ramsey so angry. He could feel the heat radiate off his body and could see him fight with his anger as he tried to keep his eyes from turning red. Miccoli could tell that Ramsey wanted to slaughter Daniel, and he couldn't blame him. Unlike with Cassidy, Daniel successfully r***d Melissa, multiple times doing so much damage she was unable to have children. At only 22, her life was changed forever, all because of this coward.
"Please...I can pay you both! Whatever you want!"
"Money has gotten you out of a lot hasn't it Mr. Andrews?" Miccoli's eyes twinkled in the darkness, causing them to flash between pale blue and red. "It helps you to cover up an infraction worse than Melissa." Daniel's eyes were the size of saucers now. There was no way Miccoli knew about his deepest secret. He paid a lot of money to ensure that no one would ever know.
"Six-year-old Clarabeth."
Daniel felt the wind knock out of him, and he struggled to remain standing. His biggest fear had come true, someone knew what horrible thing he had done. "She had it the worse...and by the time you realized you had gone too far. She was already dead." Miccoli stared intensely at Daniel. He wanted blood, and upon seeing Ramsey step forward again, he knew he wasn't the only one. "I have good news for you though Mr. Andrews. You see, you're truly as special as you talk yourself up to be. So much so that when they heard what you did to Clarabeth...they asked to meet you personally." Daniel watched in horror as another figure resolved from the darkness. He couldn't make out his face but found it harder and harder to breathe. The person wore a robe that covered everything, but their eyes which bore into him, glaring. Daniel squinted trying to make out anything past the eyes, but the rest...was about as black as the darkness that surrounded them. "I asked to make your acquaintance." Every hair on Daniel's body stood to attention hearing the man finally speak.
"I can truly say Mr.Andrews, you're one of the few humans who have ever gotten to meet an Elder. I guess even Elder Helm realized how special you are."
"H-human?"
Elder Helm let out a low dangerous growl, never once removing Daniel from his sight.
"What would you call a man who could kill his daughter, and use his money to hide it from everyone...including her mother?" A growl escaped the darkness distracting Daniel, as Ramsey reappeared behind him. He pushed Daniel forward, causing him to fall to his knees. The men circled him, each slowly revealing sharp claws.
"M-Monsters!"
"Precisely."
Daniel's eyes shifted from one creature to the next. They hissed and growled at him.
"How badly did Beth cry thinking her child was kidnapped and that it was her fault? Elder Helm spat at Daniel before lunging at him again. Daniel stepped back and landed into Ramsey.
"How much did Melissa beg you to stop every time you r***d her?" Ramsey snarled pushing Daniel in Miccoli.
"And after all of that....you still haven't learned to not touch...Mrs.Knight DOES NOT belong to you." Miccoli pushed Daniel hard causing him to fall to his knees once more. He had to refrain himself from saying the last part of that statement.
She belongs to me.
"That b***h wanted me!" Daniel faced Miccoli and laugh, blood beginning to form in his mouth. He stood, shakingly. "She wanted me to f**k her! Women of her tone aren't even my type, but I figured it would be my charity for the year." Daniel saw Miccoli's eyes shift to a blood-red color, and his heart stopped. Any ounce of bravery he just had, gone. "Wait I-" Miccoli's bones crunched as he shifted form. Claws bared, he lunged at Daniel, tearing into his chest. Daniel screamed in agony as Elder Helm and Ramsey bit into his legs.
The moonlight shines into the dungeon of Miccoli's Mansion as the walls are painted with Daniel's blood. His screams are loud but go unheard as they are swallowed by the darkness.
