Scream. I scream. Water dripping from my body. I’m too cold. Freezing. The water is too cold. I open my eyes and look at the ceiling. It was just a dream. I’m not there anymore. I pick up my phone. 4:00 am. Just as well get up already. I stand up and walk with heavy steps into the bathroom. I strip my pj's off and walk in the shower. Letting the cold water run down my body. Don’t think about it. Don’t think about it. Deep breaths. I step out. Getting dressed, get breakfast and on the way to work. When I arrive is it 6:30. I take a deep breath work don’t start before 7:30 but I am always there at 7:00 sometimes before. I park and get inside the enormous building. Black enterprises. Mr. Black isn’t here yet. I turn my computer on and start the work for today. I look up when I hear the famous ding from the elevator and see Mr. Black walk out of the elevator. Mr. Black is a man in his early sixties. Kind hearted and really caring. I am 19 years old and half a year ago, I went to a job interview in Black enterprises and Mr. Black or Emilio as he prefers immediately hired me. He has helped me ever since I moved to London. At that time, I didn’t have anywhere to live or a job, but he really helped me get settled. “Good morning Angelica. Have you gotten any sleep?” “Yes, I slept a bit but not much.” “You know you can always move back in with Maya and I.” “I know and I appreciate it so much, but you have already done so much for me.” He nods but doesn’t look really happy. He knows about my sleeping issues from when I lived with him and his wife Maya at their mansion and checks on me regularly and always ask me to stay over the night when I am at their place for our traditional Friday Dinner. They always cared which was really nice when my family were thousands of kilometers away. “Well. What meetings do I have today?” “You have one with the representative from France and that would be it. Your schedule has been cleared from 12:00 like you asked.” “Great. You know my nephew is coming home and we are going out for lunch. Angelica, do you want to come with us? You know you are just like family and…” “I would love to, but I don’t want to intrude when he just got back.” I smile. I know who Emilio’s nephew is. William Black. “No, you aren’t. I will tell you when we go, okay? I’m sure William doesn’t mind.” I nod and he walks into the office. s**t. William Black.
