Chapter Thirty Taz and Connie had returned from the library and now sat together on Connie’s sofa. Taz had her note pad open on the coffee table and Connie was listening intently to one side of the telephone conversation: “Mrs. Jordan,” Taz continued, “Matty, I apologize for the breakdown in communication. I do not know who is responsible but I intend to find out.” Taz took a moment to settle herself. “When did you last see your daughter?” “Saturday. Jane stopped by the house to have dinner with us. She was on her way to Phoenix to meet with some of her associates. She never made it.” Taz jotted a note in her book. “You knew your daughter was a lesbian?” “Yes. She was quite open about it.
