"Let you go?" Tia looked confused, then she noticed the silver chains. Her face went from kind to angry. She stood up and marched to the door, near ripping it from its hinges as she yanked it open. "Who the hell put silver chains on a f*****g child." She shouted. There was a strange echo to her voice, similar to my old Alpha's. I could here footsteps running up the halls outside. An older woman stopped in front of Tia and bowed her head, "It was me Luna, we didn't know what the girl was capable of, so we thought it would be best to chain her." The woman sounded terrified. "Who is we? you and who else?" demanded Tia. "Me and.... and your sister" the woman was shaking so hard I could practically hear her teeth chattering. "CHLOE!!" Tia shouted so loud, it made my head rattle. I heard a second pair of feet running down the hall. "What?" I heard what must have been Chloe say. "You and Lisa can go in there and remove those chains from that child immediately." Tia shouted at her sister. "OK, Tia, chill the f**k out will you!" Chloe snapped back while walking into the room. Chloe and the older woman, who I now knew was called Lisa, walked over to a trolley and took out a pair of gloves each. "Oh no ladies" said Tia, back in her normal voice, "No gloves, I want you to feel what you have put this child through." Chloe and Lisa both stopped and just starred at Tia open mouthed. "Fine" snapped Chloe walking over to me. She looked at me and gave me a hard stare, "thanks for getting me in trouble kid" She whispered. I didn't say anything, I just looked at her as she peeled the chains of off one of my wrists, Lisa was at the end of the bed, peeling the chains off my ankles. The pain was apparent in both of their faces, but I had a feeling that my pain was worse. It felt like the chains had melted my skin and embedded itself in my flesh. The pain of the pulling it out was like a sick torture Dean would have loved.
After they had finished they walked out of the room, "I'll speak to you both later." Tia said as they closed the door behind themselves.
"I am so sorry Gwen" Tia said as she turned to face me. "I never though they would do that to anyone with being ordered to" She got up and filled a small basin with water and took a few more things from a trolley. "Will you allow me to clean your wounds?" She asked, I just nodded I. response.
Tia was very gentle with me, she cleaned each wound with warm water then applied some cream to each area, giving it instant relief. "This a special cream made with camomile that helps against silver burns" She told me, "Your wounds should be healed completely in a day or two." To be honest, I could no longer feel the pain already. I guessed that Rylie was helping me heal. I looked up at Tia and just smiled to show my appreciation, but what I saw shocked me. Tia had a blank expression on her face, her eyes had gone jet black and she was just starring at nothing. I jumped and pulled myself up the bed away from her, what the hell is this?
"Are you OK?" Tia asked as if nothing had happened. I starred at her open mouthed, "Your eyes" I started, Tia laughed. "Haven't you seen anyone mind link before?" She asked. I shook my head. I knew about mind linking, but I had never seen anyone do it before. "I just mind linked my youngest sister to ask her to bring you some clothes" she said reassuringly "she's only fourteen, but I think your about the same size" I breathed a sigh of relief, and moved back down the bed. "I think there are a lot of things you will need to learn Gwen, and I would also like to learn about you if you don't mind" I nodded again, but I wasn't sure how much about me I wanted to tell her. I didn't want to have to remember my past.
There was a knock at the door, then a girl with bright red hair came bouncing through the door. This must be Tia's sister. "Hiya T" She said smiling, "Hello, Ruby" Tia answered warmly, "This is Gwen, she has come to stay for a while, but has unfortunately forgotten to bring any clothes with her" I felt myself blush. "That's ok Gwen" said Ruby smiling, "I've got a bunch of my stuff here for you to try. Once you're dressed you can come hang out with me if you want." She looked at Tia as if to ask if that was OK. Tia smiled, "That sounds like a great idea"
I put on a pair of skinny jeans, a plain white t-shirt and some trainers that all fit perfectly. "I knew you were about the same size" Tia beamed. "Now why don't you come along with us and I'll show you where you'll be staying while you're with us"
I couldn't understand why these people, these strangers were being so nice to me. I had trespassed on their territory and they welcomed me, I would have thought I would have ended up dead or at least kept prisoner in their dungeon, but no, I was following them to their pack house instead. weird.
The pack house was huge, more like a mansion than a house. We walked through the front door and the house was even more spectacular on the inside. Everything was decorated white and gold, the floors, the walls, the ceiling, white and gold wherever I looked. "For now you will stay on the Luna floor" Tia told me, "Your apartment will be opposite mine, so I can keep an eye on you until you learn the ropes." "Um, ok" I answered as we started walking up the stairs.
There appeared to be five floors in the mansion, the Luna floor was on the fourth. "This is my apartment " Tia said, gesturing at one of the doors, "I live here with Ruby and Chloe, this is where you will be staying " We crossed the hall and Tia opened a door and gestured for me to go in. I couldn't believe my eye's when I walked in, the apartment was huge. It was all open plan, a huge kitchen that led on to a dinning area and then to a huge living room. Everything was kitted out with everything I would possibly need, and there were double sliding doors that led out to a private balcony just for me. Tia laughed at my expression, " If you go through those doors, you will find bedrooms and bathrooms" I went to the doors Tia had pointed out, there were three huge bedrooms, each with their own bathrooms and walk in wardrobes that were big enough to house a family. I chose the first room as my own, it had a view of the entire village, and I liked the idea of being able to see who was coming and going.
"I have sent some omegas shopping to get some clothes for you, and some food and drinks for the kitchen" Tia told me smiling, I blushed and looked down, "I have no money to pay you for anything" I told her in an embarrassed voice, "I can find a job and pay you back if you'll let me." Tia smiled at me, "Consider them gifts" she said, "and we'll talk about jobs after you are properly settled. Come on Ruby, let's let Gwen settle in." Tia and Ruby left, and I was alone. I couldn't help myself, I threw myself backwards on to my new king sized bed, and just lay there laughing. "Rylie, this place is amazing" I giggled, "I think I might be happy here."
