Eternal love

As I stared at the endless forest I couldn't help but glance at the sky searching for my parents. They did say that when we die we become stars in the sky. I so foolishly believed that when i was a child. But the hope in me is fading in finding happiness ever again. Life is a endless game until we die and I am a pawn in it. As the time passed by I saw that rain was falling down. The fresh scent of Earth is refreshing. I promised myself that today will only be the day that I would be ever feeling grief again. What a foolish thought because it always follows me everywhere. But anyway I promised myself that today is the only day. Tomorrow onwards I will be the know that my kingdom needs. We are werewolves and my wolf name is Kai. The supreme of the kingdom. He is the only who would understand me ever because he is also facing the same as mine. He always thinks positively unlike me. He believes he did have mate. But I know that we don't have a mate. Life is cruel sometimes. It's been seven years since I shifted and I still haven't met my mate. My parents used to say that mates are their other halves. And they are the only ones who would care, respect, trust and love each other unconditionally. An unconditionally eternal love. My parents used to have that. They are the most cherished people in kingdom. They always treated everyone supernatural kingdom with same respect and love. And they asked for a promise before they are dying. They asked me too live. Live long life. Cherish, protect and love my kingdom. Love.......... An impossible thing. How can stone love somebody?. That is an impossible occurence. People love others not a stone. The feeling of numbness engulfed. And then the grief came and now the reality of the situation. A sad situation. A devasted one at that. But again reality will always be like that. People change. And the proof to the situation is me. Once a carefree boy and now a stone who couldn't feel anything. The grief and pain is the only thing I feel. But I am happy that I could feel pain because if not I would be questioning and doubting if I was really alive or not.  Kai whimpered at that thought but didn't say anything because he also know that this is real. Longing to feel the care and love but then again feared of rejection and hurt......... This is how life work. The grief that is settling in me right seeing my parents tombstone in the !iddle of this endless forest hurts my heart. And giving up is not an option to me because I promised them.... Werewolves couldn't die unless the silver is plugged into heart. A dreadful case. We don't age either. We will stop aging when we will be twenty five year old. But before I could do indulge in anymore thoughts a bell rang. Precisely the bell of the tower clock. It is further miles away from here but we could here it . Due to being werewolves. Kai became restless as the time passed by. The fresh scent of Earth still lingering in the air. Ten minutes passed by......... Fifteen minutes passed by......... A five more minutes to start a new day. Three minutes passed by.  And then there is only one more minute before this day ends. The kingdom still mourns for their previous King and Queen. 10 9 "You will find your mate Ezra" 6 5 " Don't lose hope" 2 1 "MATE"  Kai shouted. As I asked him what happened that he shouted he said that he didn't know. The words just tumbled. But the fresh scent of Jasmine still lingers in the sky.  The smell is so addicting that I didn't want to the castle. But anyway I took once glance at my parents tombstone and howled in respect. And then turned away and made my way to the castle.
