Ava’s POV
The moment I reach the bottom of the stairs, Lily wraps her thin arms tightly around me and jumps up and down on her toes.
“Ava! Oh my god! I wanted to check on you, I was worried about you!” She pulls back and her eyes are sparkling. “But Caleb wouldn’t let me out of his sight.” She grins.
“Well I only woke up a few minutes before you texted, so it’s fine. Tell me-”

Lily yanks down the neckline of her pink ruffle top to show me the bite mark under her collar bone.
