Amelia POV What fate led me to and don’t even know how to confirm our mate. The pain of the arrow keeps nagging him and seeing him like this unable to walk not even to stand is heartbreaking. The arrow has caused some dangerous damage inside of him breaking his bones and he has lost a lot of blood. I was scared at first as I had planned not to let anyone see me but then I realized this is what I have been trained for: to save lives to rescue. I raised him to sit and gave him the water I brought from the car. Getting back to my car is far and I’m scared of losing him. “Thank you” he finally spoke out. My face went straight to his masculine rugged handsome face. He must be of high rank; merely looking at him he isn’t as poor as some warriors. “Can you stand now? I have a car. What pack are you from? I can take you home” I said with urgency. I couldn’t afford to lose a patient not this time especially since he is my mate. He managed to stand as I helped him by hand. After a few minutes we reached the car. I rested his back against my bonnet as I went to open the driver’s seat. He couldn’t talk and I didn’t even know which pack he came from. “Our mate is dying” Ami said feeling uneasy. I led him inside the car letting him rest on the back seat as I drove off in haste. Darkmoon Pack is far from here and the nearby pack is Shallow Pack. I have heard about their Alpha how cruel and ruthless he is. They don’t accept intruders and kill strangers who get on their nerves. But despite this they do save lives and that is the only place nearby. On reaching there I saw the pack’s warriors stop my car. I was scared. Before they could call me a murderer I shouted “Emergency!” before they came to my side. “Please help me! Someone is on the car seat about to die. I need a medical lab now” I said looking through the front window at the warrior. I was sure he heard what I said but he chose to ignore me bending down to check if I was lying or not. This is why the human world is better; they would have acted immediately. I walked out of the car angrily and opened the door for them to see. “Can you see now? You didn’t believe me before.” But before the warrior’s eyes was my me. But now the warrior rushed toward my mate’s body. “Alpha” he said. “Is he an Alpha?” I asked myself as I stepped back to let the men take him out of my car. “He is still breathing. Please we can still save him. Please take him gently.” I rushed to follow them as if I knew the Alpha before. Maybe they mistook his because people said the Alpha of this pack is the strongest Alpha in the kingdom. He has authority and can fight. He has won many wars and no other pack has defeated him before. So how did he end up in such a situation? At the pack hospital as they rushed him inside I watched the doctor and nurses hurry to get the first aid kits. I have healing power and I should have used it on him but my mother warned me never to use my power for anyone other than myself because she said I’m the only one left of our kind. But if this gets worse I won’t mind using it for him. Since he is my mate I don’t care what happens next just as long as he’s saved. “Doctor” I ran up from my seat to meet him. “Hi my name is Amelia. How is the man now?” “Man? Are you referring to the Alpha?” “Yes the Alpha.” “Alpha Damien is responding to treatment but he has lost a lot of blood and I don’t think he will be able to walk again and do probably like before. His leg needs surgery.” “Do you mean surgery? I am a surgeon. Do you have everything we can use for the surgery?” I asked him. He had been about to leave but when I mentioned I was a surgeon he turned back looking at me as though searching my forehead for answers. I began to ask myself: will it show on my face if I’m one? “A surgeon? What is your qualification?” “I don’t have one but I just graduated from the human world. I can save his life if that is what he needs.” Instead of listening he stepped forward heading to his office. “Doctor Frank!” I called out. I knew he must have been wondering how I knew his name but I overheard it from the nurse. He turned back to me. “Young lady stay out of this. Don’t call yourself a name you haven’t earned.” “You are so selfish Doctor Frank. Would you risk your Alpha’s life just because I don’t have the title? If your Alpha dies what would you gain? What would be your excuse that you didn’t allow me to save his life? Just remember if he dies his blood will cry out on you!” I yelled at him turning back to leave. Just then I met a tall magnificent beautiful lady standing behind me with two warriors. “What is going on here Doctor Frank? Where is my husband?” the woman asked. Husband? Does he have a Luna? Why is he my mate if he already has a wife? I asked my wolf. “He is our mate. I’m not lying i swear” Ami whispered. The woman’s presence and voice sent a chill to my heart and the words barely left my mouth. “This young lady calls herself a surgeon without proof of her certificate” Doctor Frank said. “Oh hello young lady. I’m Luna Ava. Is Doctor Frank saying the truth?” She asked with a calm voice that shifted my thoughts. I must not act as though the Alpha is my mate. I may not leave this pack alive. I cleared my throat. “Yes ma’am. I went to surgery school in the human world and found the Alpha in pain in the woods. I brought him here and Doctor Frank said he needs surgery to save him and help him walk again. I said I can do that.” “How sure are you? We wouldn’t want to risk our Alpha’s life in your hands” one of the warriors said. I’m very sure he is the Beta. “Trust me Luna Ava I can do this. Take my life if I don’t succeed in saving his life.” The words dropped and they looked at each other their faces intertwined.
