He was there...

We packed the rest of the way, the gloom on people’s faces was restless.  If it was not for the great purpose I felt I would probably be crying.  We all left the place up the stairs and through the alley. On the bus, I arose and spoke, “Our plan as you know has changed, our only purpose is to get Rylee and my Dad back.  And if we have time to grab the book and get out of there.  Have faith in each other, as Faith isn’t the belief in what’s not seen but also the hope in what can be.  We will have plenty of time to rest on the flight over.  May God be on our side.”  The bus started up and drove its way to the airport. We made it through security and customs easily, the real worry was the Ice-Ravens guarding the plane rides.  We walked over to our terminal and started heading on as the plane was boarding.  As I walked to the door the Raven stopped me and said, “Hurry, I’m growing tired of waiting.” “And of what, you harm them and you’ll be in more trouble than you could know.”  I was let go, I entered the plane to find everyone already boarded and waiting. It was silent most of the ride, I fell asleep halfway through, but I had a nightmare.  I saw everyone, they were sitting together in chairs.  They hurt one another like sworn enemies, their hatred grows.  There is a pit of fire that waits for them, but they are blind as soon as they leave the sight of their help.  I saw them sitting there,  they continued their fighting and as the time grew on their table began to shift towards the pit.  I screamed to them through tears, but for nothing, they couldn’t hear me.  I am invisible to them, I fall to my knees and cry.  A figure of light appeared to my right, “Why do you cry?”  His voice was great, it was peaceful. “My friends, I cared about them more than anything and they didn’t hear my warning.”  I look up tears still running down my cheek. “I know my son, they heard you but they do not listen.  You can’t force them to live, they have chosen the path of death.  All you can do now is pray and hope they will listen to your actions and few words of love.  But did you see also, Sarah and Hannah, they gripped their friends alongside them?  The rest of them will live by one hand if they choose to let go and be their own person.”  He said this as sad as I was. I reply, “Even then, alone or together.  What they do is wrong and they will never see it without dying first-hand.” He put his hand on my shoulder, “You can try and show them, forget not to pray, and show them all the truth in Love.  Because hating them for what they do is the same of murder, and will only separate them from the truth.” When he left, my sight faded to darkness, I awoke again to the sound of a metallic voice, Flight 939 has landed at Niagara Falls International Airport. Please wait to be deboarded, the voice cut off with a sudden stop. As soon as we left the airport we stormed to the base of Niagara, the crowds of people were like a river.   As soon as we got there our climbing gear was out and ready, “Ok Mikayla, let’s go dark.” Without hesitation, we started climbing, we were halfway up when, “aaaAAHHHAHHAHHAH,”  Andrew fell, his scream was abruptly cut off.  His body was curved back,  he was unconscious. I turned back and said, “We need to get him before the blood rushes to his head.” As soon as I said this Lily turned into a ladder, Preston detached himself from the line jumping down to him.  He grabbed up Andrew in a Fireman’s hold.  We then carried him up to the top. As Andrew regained consciousness he was still a little woozy, “You ok?” I said, “You had a rather nasty fall.” He nodded, “I slipped on a rock, I caught myself but then a drone came from nowhere whizzed by my head and knocked me off.” “Uf, you think parachuting would have been a better idea?”  I ask. He stared at me petrified, “Not in my lifetime will I jump out of a plane.”  Amber then came up and slapped him alongside the head, she then instantly regretted it. “Remind me not to slap the person I share intelligence with,”  Amber said. We then walked up to his place, if it wasn’t a despaired occasion it would have been beautiful.  Quartz and Golden and Pillars aligned the building.  It resembled the parthenon or what they told me it looked like in history class.  There was no door instead a great gateway with a red carpet stretching out to the stairway up.  The sun was setting to our left, the moon rising at the same time to the right.  The building’s light was split right down the middle, we entered the main section of the building, the throne room.  He was sitting there, “Oh, how I waited for this day.  You Eddy are a persistent little stinker, aren’t you?  All this fighting against them and where did it bring you?  Right back to me.”  His last words hang in the air menacingly. I raised my head to him, “Where are they?” He smiled, “Ooo, choppy and straight to the point.  You’ll see them soon, they are waiting for you after all.”  As he said these Bar’s arose from the ground, within them was my dad to the left and Rylee to the right, “I know I said this already but, oh how you care will be your own demise.  And I do want to do this right.”  He raised his hands to form a Y, “Time to bring the house down.”  At his word, the building began to shake.  His guards cowered at the power, “Oh, so you can’t handle a little rumbling.  Fine, I’ll do it myself.”  He stood from his chair book in hand. Rylee turned to him, “You shouldn’t have written those words.”  Suddenly her cage exploded, shredded metal ran into the glass windows and shattered everything.  The windows disintegrated as the wind rushed into the room.  Rocks flying toward James cause him to hide. My dad’s cell was immediately returned to its place on the floor, “Do not come for me, I will be ok.”  His last words were cut off. The rocks hit James to the ground, Everyone around me was fighting people of the same blood.  They were mutants, working for him.  I ran toward James, Light from my feet with intricate design and strange magic formed beneath my feet as I walked.  Higher into the air I climbed and when I stopped I stopped on a table of light.  I reached out to James and gripped him with what looked like ropes of sparkes and fire.  I lifted him up and threw him at what was left of the pillars.  Letting go of him was a mistake, as he stopped at the pillar and started walking down it.  He began writing again, “I guess as far as family reunions go that wasn’t too bad.”   I grinned, “What you killed my family and you think I’d accept that.” “Well no, but I did learn something interesting…”  He said with a faint smile. I crossed my arms, “What you’re not going to tell me?” “Well more than likely you would already know but I learned what Rylee’s power is, quite remarkable.  And well, it’s not going to be good for her was it going to be done.”  At this Rylee came up behind him and whacked him on the head with a frying pan. “He talks too much.”  She said, the smile on her face as bright as she was. “Where did you get a frying pan,”  I said, giving a hug because Ethan writing this seemed weird but why not everyone likes hugs. She laughed and said, “Well down away there’s a hallway and at the very end of the hallway there is a kitchen.” I laughed along with her and grabbed the book and quill.  My laugh suddenly fell, the building started to move.  Preston ran up to us, “Eddy, the building is slowly being dragged into the falls.  And what’s worse is the river is now lava.” “Get everyone to safety, there won’t be much time, I gotta get my dad.”  I turned to Rylee, “You have to go with them, this place is going down and you can’t go down with it.” “Neither can you.”  She said, I reluctantly agreed. We ran to the basement, the walls crumbling.  We made it to the cells and my dad was sitting there waiting for me, “You shouldn’t have come for me, I told you I’d be fine.” “Not when there is lava outside waiting to boil you alive.”  The walls shifted and we all staggered a little.  “And the place is falling apart.” “Not me, my son, I am too old for this.  I’ll only slow you down and my time is running short.”  He was sad, he knew what his end was and I knew it too. I stood up, a tear crossed my cheek, “Will I see you again?” “If you follow the man you saw in your dream, you will see me again.”  He then waved me away, “I love you, my son, I will see you again.  Sooner than you think.” We turned away from him, running to the dam, “How exactly did you break out of the cell?”  I ponder. Breathless as we ran, Rylee spoke, “What he did in the book was a mistake, he gave himself the ability to control the wind, and in doing so gave the ability to me as well.” “So what I answered to him was true, he would be his own demise.” We were almost there when a c***k split the ground before us.  Lava bubbled below us, I then grabbed Rylee’s hand and started walking across the chasm.  Circles of light floated among our feet.  When we reached the other side and got in the boat waiting at the dam. I looked around at everybody, “Anybody know how to drive?”  I heard a loud crash after I said this, the entire mansion went to the lava and burning pit.  “Well, I guess I will.”  I got behind the wheel and started it up, “Let’s Ride.” The cracking sound continued, as we were a little bit away from the dam, it burst.  The boat came to a complete stop as the water pushed us back.  The wind grew and we started moving, I turned and smiled at Rylee and we continued downstream.  The trees began to cover us from the sun.  And as we arrived at the cave the sun was gone.  The moon had risen, with what little light we could muster we entered the cave. Within the place, it was more of a facility than a cave, lights turned on when we entered.  They reminded me of a simpler time when I would shop with my Mom at the old Costco.  Painful memories, If only they were as cheerful as they were then, there was also another their.  A box read the name of Thomas, to them, they did not know the name.  To me, I remembered a thousand memories of the good, and to one a memory of the bad.  Only five-minutes did it last then, but as one knows.  A Best friend’s death doth not depart from me. “Rest well, we only have a few days to prepare for what is to come,”  I said, When I arrived at my room I collapsed, my brain ceased to function for a moment and then I saw him again.  The figure from the last time, he was again writing at a desk.  But it was small and he had a backpack under his legs.  I looked around the room to see many other desks and another person across the room from him was Rylee.  They both looked exactly like the ones I remembered but from the past.  I saw pictures of my great great grandparents wearing clothes like them.  The one writing spoke to me, “Do you remember me?” “Who are you,”  I asked. He returned to writing, “I guess not, I am you.  Except here they call me Ethan, I created you, my friend.  Be good and you may live, those that you love though.  They are not safe, your father is right, what he said is true.” I awoke to my room, with what little strength I had I climbed to bed on my hands, What on earth…
