Chapter: 2 Second Date

2070 Words
Why don't I have more things to do in my life? I feel like I just waste a ton of time. I am currently just sitting here staring at the ceiling. I have about 5 hours before I have to get ready for my date with Macey, but I have nothing really to do. We didn't get a chance to buy manga yesterday since it was so late after all of the clothes shops. I had finished all of my to-be-read pile at the start of the summer, and I usually only reread stuff after a new volume releases so that was out. I could be watching some Netflix, but all of the shows I am currently watching I started with my best friend Lauren. She Is currently out of town, I think she said she wouldn't be back until thursday. That means I would have to start something completely new, which is a bad idea in general. Usually if I start a show I binge it until I finish it. The only thing that saves me from that fate is Lauren forcing us to stop so she can leave. I flip my back off the spot where my butt goes, and I stand up. "I am going to go make some god damned french toast," I cheer out! I am usually good at cooking, but my dilemma is breakfast foods. I can't cook them properly at all for some reason. The only dish I can actually make is french toast. I have been practicing others lately though, mostly just things like different egg based dishes. One of my favorite egg dishes is eaten during any time of the day. It is basically just scrambled eggs with rice that is lightly seasoned. I finish cooking the food, and sit down at the table. This is one thing I hate about my life. I hate sitting here at an empty table, it has only gotten worse over time. Mom used to have time to stay and have breakfast with me, but her job has only ever gotten more demanding for her. Maybe her marrying someone will cause her to spend more time at home. I let the thought resonate as I start eating. I let the taste of the syrup hit my buds first. I let out a small giggle as I let the taste over take me. Macey's Pov Why did I do this? My room is completely destroyed now. Sitting here for the past two hours trying to decide on what to wear has done nothing but increase my stress. Why did I pull that s**t yesterday, I would never just kiss someone I met on the street like that. She was so damn sexy though, and she was hardcore flirting with me at the diner. Though I started that by calling her gorgeous. It doesn't matter though, I am going on a date with her. That means I need to get my s**t together, and pick out a goddamned outfit. I dig through all of my clothes laying out my options. Why don't I just facetime Steph for some help. "Steph help me. I have to pick out an outfit for a date tonight, and I am stressing out." "Why are you stressing? You always look rad, so just pick something you would normally wear," Stephanie said honestly. "I would, but I want to impress her so bad. You should have seen this girl, she was perfect. She had really cute green hair, and blues eyes that suck you in. I could gush forever. Moral of the story is you need to help a b***h out." I turned the camera pointing at the clothes. "So what should I wear," I asked in a serious tone? "Look Mace if she honestly likes you, you just have to be chill and do things like you normally would. That includes dressing like you normally would." Steph is right. Why am I stressing about this so much. "Thanks Steph. Want to hang out again soon?" "Sure, and have fun on your date," Steph said with a smile. A few hours later I was standing in front of the Arcade. "Damn, I'm an hour early," I said looking down at my watch. I took a seat on a bench outside. I took a look around me, a few people were walking down the road hand in hand. I wish that was me. Maybe Liz is the one I could do that with. Everyone else just used me, but she is different. She acted like she genuinely enjoyed being in my company. I hope this date goes well. I was sitting there zoned out until someone walked in front of me. "Is this seat taken?" I look up to see a green haired beauty standing before me. "Not for a gorgeous woman like yourself," I say with a smirk. I held out my hand, and she took it while sitting down. "Why are you here so early, we still have twenty five minutes before we were supposed to be here?" "I was honestly really looking forward to this, and I decided to come early," Liz said with honesty. "Well let's get this party started then." I stood up, pulling her with me. Leading her toward the building behind us with a flashing "Games" sign in the window. The place was dark, the glow of the machines flashed in the background. Sounds of "Game Over" could be heard intermittently. Walking up to the counter to get our unlimited games passes for the day only brought the smell of m*******a. The source the younger guy at the counter with a t-shirt that had some random quote on it, and a beanie. "That will be twenty dollars," the man with a name tag that read Randy said. I handed him the currency, and we took our bracelets. Taking Liz's hand, we walked towards the machines. "So what would you like to play love," I said wiggling my eyebrows as we approached the first of the machines. “I am partial to fighting games. They are the best," Liz said eagerly. We walked toward the Street Fighter 2 machines, and her hands started to shake. "What's wrong Liz?" "Oh, nothing I am just shaking from excitement I haven't played in days. " I shot her a confused glance as we settled in our spots at the machine. I picked my main Guile, and Liz chose Dhalsim. I usually suck at fighting games, but I will give it my all. Ten minutes later I was standing there stunned. When Liz had said she Loved fighting games she was not kidding. I got my ass thoroughly kicked. I was supposed to be the gamer here, but she played like a pro. I guess one thousand hours of Stardew Valley doesn't translate that well to fighting games. "If you want I can give you some tips next time, and sorry if it felt like I completely crushed you. I don't hold back when it comes to competitive gaming," Liz said in a unapologetic tone. "Asshole," I joked as I pulled her to a more even match up. "Fine, let's play a racing game." She just shrugged her shoulders, and moved towards the cockpit. This girl is going to be the death of me. Again I was destroyed by my date, and she was laughing while she sat there waiting for me to finish the race. Her face grew a smug grin, and reached over to tap my shoulder. "Want a rematch?" Liz asked smugly. "Only if you don't mind me winning next time," I laughed. We started the race, and within the first five seconds one of the other cars rammed me into a wall. "Great just what I needed." "What happened to you winning?" Liz asked feigning innocence. "How about we swap to something less intense? Want to play some Galaga? That way we don't really have to compete on anything." We walked off to enjoy the other games. It was great to have things be less competitive, and I genuinely hoped that after the break we were taking things more calmly. We were standing in the back corner of the arcade, and it was pretty dark back there. Liz’s hands were cramping so we came back here to get away from everyone and cool off a bit. The main issue for me was the awkward silence that had grown between us. "So have you had fun so far?" I asked genuinely. Liz stayed silent, fixed in her position a few feet from me. "It has been one of the most enjoyable days I have had in a month, second only to yesterday." "Why was yesterday better," I questioned with a smile? "Well for one, we kissed yesterday, and there was more hand holding," Liz explained. "Well, I guess we will have to fix that." I walked over to her, and pinned her against the wall. I took her hands in mine, and held them above her head. My head was buzzing as our lips melted together. I could barely hear the sounds of the machines over my own soft moans, or were they Liz's. My stomach fluttered as her tongue trace mine, the taste of syrup coming to mind as we lingered longer. Did she have pancakes or french toast this morning? I envy the breakfast that had gotten eaten by her. We pulled away, and after what felt like of an eternity of recovery, the script was flipped and I was the one being pinned. I really love when the person I like takes control. Her tongue ventured further into the depths of my mouth, until we heard a cough from behind. "Ladies as hot as your current makeout session is, I am going to have to ask you to leave. Some mom complained about not wanting to expose her kid to homosexuality this early in life. I think it's dumb, but you have to go. You're not banned though, just don't come back today," Randy said. We burst into laughter, grabbing Liz's hand we left the building. I have to admit that is the funniest thing to ever happen to me on a date. "That was great, but since we can't play anymore want to grab a bite to eat?" "Sure," Liz said leaning over to give me a kiss on the cheek. We ended up picking a grilled cheese shop. I had never really eaten there, Liz said it was amazing. Our seats were cozy and modern. All of the tables looked clean, unlike some restaurants were the tables were always dirty. "Sorry I got us kicked out of the arcade by the way. I am just satisfied that we weren't banned." "The kiss was worth it trust me," Liz said with grin on her face. "You could at least act a little embarrassed," I said chuckling. "Why would I be embarrassed? What's wrong making out with a sexy woman you're on a date with?" "Touche." "So what are your plans for the rest of the date?" "I really don't know. I was planning on still being at the arcade until later in the afternoon." "How about we go for a walk after we eat? Who doesn't love a good walk?" The rest of the afternoon was amazing. Our food was delicious, the walk was perfect we held hands, and discussed our plans for the latter half of the summer. We even made plans to meet again on Wednesday. The best part was the intense make out session we had outside of her mom's house. It was intense, and I really thought she was going to invite me inside, but she pulled away. I am happy that she did. I want this to be a serious relationship. She is honestly stunning, I don't think I had more than a few moments during the entire date where I wasn't thinking of her. That is probably why I lost to her in everything. I will let myself think that anyway. I should really call Steph and tell her about everything that happened today. I really just wish that b***h of a mom wouldn't have gotten us kicked out. I was really relieved when Liz didn't really care, plus the kiss we had was amazing. I should really ask her if she wants to become a thing.
