Chapter Eleven

Some days later, Sarah heard her phone ring and she picked it. "Hello" she called out. "Hello, Sarah. It's me, Ella" said Ella. "Oh! Ella, how are you? What's happening" asked Sarah curiously. "You won't believe this but I've gotten in contact with all the girls. They are all here with me" said Ella. "Wow" exclaimed Sarah. "Erm... We're planning a reunion party. The venue is your house. It's in 2 weeks time. Are you okay with it" explained Ella. "What day of the week" asked Sarah again. "Friday. It's a night party" concluded Ella.

"Friday night is just perfect. Bye. Take care" said Sarah as she ended the call. She was happy that at least, she could see all her friends one more time.

The next week, Paul visited his sister at her house. "Big Sis. Sister Sarah" called out Paul to his sister who was in the kitchen when he came in.

"Paulo. Paulo. Officer Paul" answered Sarah smiling as she came into the living room. "How's work? How is mom and dad" asked Sarah anxiously. "I should visit them one of these days" added Sarah as an afterthought. "They're fine. Anyways, Micheal asked me to give you this" he said stretching a gift box towards her. "Michael. Which Micheal" asked Sarah confusedly. "Officer Michael, the one you met at the station" replied Paul. "Oh! Officer Michael, how's he fairing? He asked you to give me this? Wow. That is so thoughtful and nice of him. Please help me thank him" said Sarah appreciatively.

"Well, I have to go" said Paul rising to his feet. "So soon" asked Sarah also standing up. "Mum is the only one at home. Dad has gone to a shareholder meeting" replied Paul. "Please tell dad not to stress himself" said Sarah concerned. "Ok. That reminds me, I am also planning to get a house" said Paul.

"Really, when" exclaimed Sarah. "In the next 2-3 years" answered Paul as he made his way to the door. "That's still a bit of time" said Sarah as she also opened the door. "Let me escort you" as she followed her brother outside and closed the door.

Few minutes later, she came in and took the remote on the center table, tuned in her favorite show and started watching. When the show was over, she stood up and said to herself, "Our reunion party is tomorrow. The house is ready for that, but what will I wear".

It was soon Friday night. The girls dressed very well. Everyone was successful except Mira who instead of being a lawyer became a cleaner.

Sarah was surprised. While the party was still going on, she saw Mira staying alone. She could see that she was feeling depressed and dejected among her peers. So she walked up to her and said, "I can feel your pain. Don't worry. Everything will be fine. Now drink up. We need to go dance" sympathized Sarah with Mira. Mira, inside of her, was angry that someone she planned her downfall was sympathizing with her on her own downfall.

The next day, Mira summoned a meeting among the girls after their daily work again without Sarah. She lied to them that Sarah mocked her because she became a cleaner instead of a lawyer. The girls hated Sarah and they wished to terminate her life. They got in contact with some group of kidnappers who were given Sarah's details and were told to terminate her life immediately she was kidn*pped. They were also told not to ask for any ransom.

One day, Sarah closed from work as usual. On her way back, she felt suspicious. She felt like she was being followed. Before she could do anything, the kidnappers covered her mouth to prevent her from screaming, forcefully put her in a car and zoomed off.
