Mrs Smith heard her phone ring and she picked it. "Ah. It's even Sarah" said Mrs Smith to herself. "Hello, Sarah. Well done. You live alone so your parents are not important, right? You can't even call to know how we're fairing" yelled Mrs Smith immediately she picked the call. "Madam, your daughter has been kidn*pped. If you want to see her alive, bring the sum of 5 million naira in 3 days time in the morning by 10:00am sharp" said one of the kidnappers as he ended the call immediately. "Eh! Kidnappers. Hello. Hello. Erm... ha... yeh... What should I do" said Mrs Smith in fear. She was confused. She didn't know what to do. All of a sudden, she burst into tears. It was in this state of confusion that Paul met her. "Mum. What's wrong? Why are you crying" asked Paul also confused. "It's Sarah" shouted Mrs Smith. "What is wrong with her" asked Paul scared. "She was kidn*pped. The kidnappers just called. They demanded a ransom of 5 million" said Mrs Smith crying again. "Did you hear her voice" asked Paul to confirm if she was truly kidn*pped. "No. But they were serious" shouted Mrs Smith. "Maybe, her phone was stolen and the thieves want to use it as a form of extortion" said Paul. "I said, your sister was kidn*pped" yelled Mrs Smith emphatically. "Mom, relax. I'll sort it out by tomorrow. Is there food in the house" asked Paul sitting on the chair. "Your sister is with some kidnappers, you want to eat. Your sister is not safe, you said you'll sort it tomorrow. Why can't you do it today. Infact now" concluded Mrs Smith. "I just got back. I can't go back again. Please, is there food" said Paul. "You are very mean. Ah! Your only sister. No food" said Mrs Smith as she walked in to inform Mr Smith. "I have to go to the kitchen myself to check for food, then" said Paul as he stood up and went to the kitchen.
