Chapter Eight

Sarah got admission into a private university and did well. Her course, Medicine took 5 years in school.

Her years in the university served as a way of gaining more experience.

Paul, as a very intelligent boy, did his GSCE in SS2. Ella got her degree in Medicine at the teaching hospital. After 6 years, she got Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS). She also did a year of her National Youth Service Corps(NYSC). Paul finished university and went for NYSC like his sister.

For Sarah, she had 2 more years to go - 1 year at the medical school and 1 year for NYSC. Paul used these 2 years to learn at the Police College because he wanted to be a police officer.

"Where's dad" asked Sarah as she walked into the house seeing her mom watching TV in the sitting room. "He had some problem with his bank and his retirement funds were already sent to that account. He had to go the bank to rectify it" explained Mrs Smith.

"Ok. Please talk to him. Tell him to reduce his outings. They are becoming too frequent. Anyways, I need to freshen up mom" said Sarah walking up the stairs to her room.
