HANI LED THEM TO A small cabin clinging to the side of the mountain trails. It was little more than a rough, wooden hut, with a rusted, metal roof and mud-crusted floors. There was a makeshift table pulled up beneath the single, scratched and streaked window and not much else. The table consisted of a water-stained sheet of plywood sitting on a couple of sawhorses. A pair of plywood benches completed the cabin’s furnishings. Thunder rumbled high overhead and the rain that had started to pelt them with playful fingers as they ran turned to thick sheets that pinged off the metal roof in a deafening roar.
