A family she never owned

"Mummy please tell me who my father is" Mercy cried pleading with her mother to know her father's wear abouts, the mother, looking at the daughters eyes sobbed bitterly "go and ask your grandfather" she said. __________________________ she was born out of wedlock, but she lived happily with her mother in her grandfather's house, grandfather always loved her so much ,bought her gifts now and then,toys dresses etc, she had it all or so she thought.A time came when her grandfather's sister 'Cecilia'was staying alone, she was looking for someone to stay with,so she thought of Mercy's mother Foster. so on a monday morning she called her niece "Foster i have no one to help me here, and i am all alone, i am asking if you can come over and stay with me,you can bring your daughter with you is it okay?" " it's fine auntie there is no problem i will come with her but i also have another daughter is it okay if i come with her" " ohhh so you have two children what's the name of the other? " " her name is Grace" " oh wonderful, no problem come with them both". A week later, Foster and her two children were now living with Cecilia, life was great there, especially for Mercy, grandma loved her so much, she was 5years old, and Grace was just a year old. A year later grandma Cecilia got married and had her own daughter. At the time Mercy was now 6years old, and she begun to see and differenciate how people treated her, she was beaten on slite mistakes, her mother would throw objects at her, like wooden chairs, get punched to the point were her jaw was dislocated, after being beaten, she would have swellings on her body, grandma was no exception, she would lift her using her ears then dropt her, well the better part with grandma was that she used weeping sticks, but all the sticks had to break for her to stop weeping her. Mercy started living in fear, she started making sure that everything she did, did not offend anyone, but she was just a kid after all, she messed up time and again. Another year passed quickly, Mercy and her mother had to move again, this time they went to Fosters grandma, Mercys great aunt, when they went there, great aunt welcomed them, Mercy was happy, thinking she would find love, but just a week of staying there great aunt_________to be continued
