The room is silent. No one moves, not even the wolves standing behind my father.
An arm wraps itself around my waist. The tingles I feel let me know who it is before I could turn around to see. Shooting my elbow back into his chest does nothing to help me get out of his hold. His hold on me just tightens.
"Let go of me you f*****g monster." I growl much to my wolf's dismay. "I don't wanna be your mate. You're a f*****g murderer. Let me go you piece of shit." I growl as tears fall from my eyes without warning.
"Hush mate." He growls nipping at my ear. My wolf groans in pleasure, while I cringe in disgust.
"Let me go you f*****g murderer. You really think that I'm gonna accept you as my f*****g mate and you just killed my mother." Twisting in his hold, I turn to face him. His eyes hold nothing. While mine holds nothing but pain, his hold nothing at all.
"Last warning. Hush mate." Before I could register what I was doing my hand went up to slap him. But I'm stopped short by his hand gripping my wrist. "And to think that I was gonna let him live." He starts to drag me out of the kitchen.
"Stop. Dad help me." I call in panic fighting his hold. "Dad. Please help me." Dropping my weight to the ground, hoping that I'll be too much for him to hold onto.
"Let go of her." My father screams glaring at the man that calls me his mate. Not paying any attention my father's nor my pleads, he keeps walking.
"Burn it down." Was all he says as we reach the front door. The sound of glass breaking and the laughter of those wolves makes my skin crawl. The sound of struggling sounds behind us just as I see my dad being restrained by a group of wolves onto the ground next to Vicky's body, the healer of the pack, on the ground, dragging him over just a few feet away from where we stand.
"Why don't we enjoy the show?" The monster holding onto me smiles looking down at me. The rest of the wolves that were inside come out laughing walking over to stand next to us, except for one. The last wolf to leave my house is pouring a liquid on the floor before throwing it into the house before walking over to where I'm being held. The last wolf comes up to us holding a bottle of open wine with one of our dishtowels stuffed inside.
"Do you wanna do the honors, Leo?" A wolf asks the monster.
"Go ahead Vince." This Vince guy smiles walking towards my house while lighting the dishtowel on fire.
My heart stops. "Stop my mom. Please stop, I'll do anything. Please, please." I beg tears streaming down my face. "My mom's in there. I didn't even say goodbye to her." Tears stream down my face as sobs rack through my body.
"It's too late, she's dead." My soul breaks into pieces.
"No no no no. You f*****g monster. I hate you. You f*****g bastard. You killed my mother. Why would attack us? We haven't done anything to you. My mother hasn't done a thing to you. I hope your mother dies a painful death and I hope that you're forced to watch." I kick and punch him with all the strength that I have.
"Your father took care of that already." That was all he said before the sound of the wine bottle smashing caught my attention. A scream leaves my mouth as I watch my house catch fire.
Smoke filled up my childhood home with my mother's body laying inside.
