I would hate to admit that I drank from the tub faucet. I could not stop myself. My thirst was too much to ignore. I drank so much water so fast that I had to spit some backup. I don't know how I've survived in that hell hole without water for however long I've been down there. Taking a bath felt terrific. Moving around was a little bit of a struggle at first but as soon as I drank that magical water, I had a lot more energy.
The closet is insane. The clothes still had the tags on them. Everything is expensive including the granny panties I have on right now.
My fingers run along the railing as I stare down at the miles of forest surrounding my new prison. At least this time I can see outside. Where is my dad?
The sound of the elevator dinging makes me turn around. The doors are just opening and an older woman walks out of the elevator, pushing a cart filled with food.
"Excuse me, Luna. Where would you like to eat?" Her voice is soft as she looks down at the floor.
"You can leave it there. Thank you." My lips curl up into a tight smile. I don't particularly appreciate being called their Luna. It's a title I do not want. Especially with it being attached to that monster.
"You're welcome, Luna." She rushes towards the elevator pushing the button.
"Can you stay?" My voice comes out as a whisper but I know that she heard me. "Please." I plead. I've been along for who knows how long. And right now I want no I need to be around another person.
Her head turns to look at me from over her shoulder. She hesitates a little too long.
"I don't think the Alpha would like that ma'am." Her voice is shaky. Her back is still to be and she has yet to make eye contact with me. The sound of the elevator brings her to turn her head back around. "I'm sorry Luna but I must follow my orders." She whispers stepping onto the elevator. My eyes water with the thoughts of what might happen to her if she went against Leonardo's instructions.
I take a step inside the room and turn to close the balcony doors. I stall another second or two so I could clear my throat.
"It's okay. Thank you." I say as I turn around but the elevator doors are already closed. Walking over to the cart that the lady rolled in front of the couch, I look over the three lids covering the food. Lifting them one at a time, I find some kind of liquid soup, a caesar salad, and a glass of water.
My stomach groans just seeing the food in front of me. Sitting on the couch, I pick up the spoon and start eating the soup. Damn this soup is fantastic. It doesn't take me long to finish the soup. I'm so full and I haven't even touched my salad yet. I sit back with a huff, slouching against the couch. I'm feeling a little stronger.
I take this time to call out to my dad and his wolf, hoping to see where he is and how he's doing. I cannot seem to reach either one of them. I have no idea what day it is, the time, or how long I've been in his pack's territory. He could have killed him already or been beating him to death as I sit here with a full stomach. He's probably in the dungeon starving. My heart feels heavy as I hunch over my knees with my arms crossed.
I don't wanna lose him. I cannot lose him. He's the only one I have left.
"Luna?" A masculine voice calls. I didn't hear the elevator doors open. I'm crying too hard to notice the elevator door opening or the new smell in the room. I remember that voice. Using my shirt to dry my eyes enough to confirm my accusation. It's the wolf that was so excited to burn down my home. To burn my mother's body to ashes.
Vince stands five feet away from me with his arms behind his back.
"The Alpha wanted me to bring you to his office if you were up." He says his eyes never leaving mine. I don't say a thing. I just stare at him for a few seconds before getting up and walking out onto the balcony, closing the door behind me.
I refuse to go anywhere with him.
A knock sounds on the balcony door before it opens.
"I'll just tell him that you weren't up for it." He says.
"Wait," I call turning around to face him. "Where is my father?" I demand.
It takes him a second to say anything.
"He escaped a few hours after you arrived we arrived." He sighs. I just couldn't help but smile. Thank goodness, he's alive. He got out of here. "Luna with all due respect, I don't see why you're so happy. He left you behind. Walked right by you and out the door." He grunts out, closing the door behind him.
Vince has to be lying. My dad wouldn't leave me here, would he?
