ANDERSONS POV

"Where is she?" I roared at my beta as he opened his door, still clearly half asleep.

"Who?" Josh asked, clearly confused.

"The girl you i***t, I went to her room to introduce myself and there was no sign of her anywhere!" I rubbed my head trying to calm myself. My parents were going to kill me if this did not work out and the girl was just gone.

"Calm down man", Josh said, rubbing his eyes. " Have you checked with Anna, she was to show her to her room last night", asked.

Before I could turn to find Anna, the door behind me opened and the smell of sweet honeysuckle invaded my nostrils. I turned to find a small red-haired beauty looking up at me through sleepy eyes with the most confused and afraid look on her face.

"MINE" Aspin, my wolf growled inside my head.

I stood there for what felt like years looking at the small woman wearing nothing but an oversized t-shirt with her long red hair cascading down around the sides of her face. She was beautiful, absolutely beautiful and her aura rippled light and love. Suddenly, all the stress and tension I had been feeling about this arrangement suddenly disappeared from my mind.

"Im Anderson beck" I said, stretching my hand towards her.

Her cheeks blushed red as she extended her hand to grab my own.

"I'm Marlee Marshall", She whispered back.

We stood like that just staring at one another for what felt like forever before I remembered why I was there and what exactly I was supposed to be doing at this moment.

"This isn't your room" I said, very matter of fact.

" Oh I-I'm so sorry" she muttered, looking as though she wanted to cry. She quickly turned away, leaving me standing in the doorway. She hurriedly gathered a few small things from around the bed and shoved them into a brown sack she had gathered from the floor. She returned to the doorway clutching the bag and looking down at the floor between us. " I am so sorry, Alpha Anderson, Where do you want me?" she whispered.

My heart sank to my stomach realizing she thinks she has done something wrong, or maybe it was the way she spoke to me that made my heart ache as though she should be afraid, or as if the very plain bedroom she had spent her night in was in some way too good for her or that she was in some way not worthy.

"Follow me" I sighed, as I turned and headed for the stairs, taking the small brown bag from her hands. She followed silently beside me, her eyes never leaving the floor. As we walked up the stairs to the 5th floor I could hear her heart beating rapidly in her chest as if it were about to burst as we round the corner.

"That is my suite" I said gently, pointing to the large doors at the end of the hall."And this is the personal suite we have prepared for you" I gestured to the large mosaic-stained glass door to our left. Opening the door, I walked inside as she followed. I was pleased to see the ladies had done as I asked this morning and brought up plenty of fresh new clothes for her since she had been sent here with so little.

I stood in the corner watching as she looked around the room looking half amazed and half confused. " Is something wrong?" I asked, worried that she did not like the room."Maybe it isn't her style " Aspin chimed in my head.

"O-O Oh no sir not at all, I-I. It's just whose stuff is this? I believe there has been some mistake." She whispered, running her hand along a dress from one of the racks that were positioned in the center of the suite."That is all I brought with me" She pointed a reluctant finger at the brown sack i still held. "These things are far too nice to be mine" she stated looking as if she wanted to cry.

"Actually, I had the ladies of the pack house order these things for you because my beta said you did not come with much" I said as, I held up the very sad sack of belongings she had brought with her." There was a mistake last night. The omega who showed you to your room is new to the pack and simply took you to the wrong floor. I hope this room will be to your liking", I gestured around as she looked around, seeming to finally look up from the ground where her eyes had been plastered. I watched her as she took in the room around her. She looked amazed. It was the most innocent and awe-filled expression she wore on her face.

" This is too much" she said quietly, still taking it all in. I smiled, trying to reassure her that this was merely the beginning of what was to come. "This is your home now, Marlee, I just want to ensure that you are as comfortable as you can be here. Although I know it is not an ideal situation, I hope that you will be happy here".

I placed the small bag in my hands on the dresser beside me ." I will leave you to settle in. We have missed breakfast but I can have Anna bring you some food if you are hungry! I must excuse myself to handle some last-minute work", I sighed as I headed for the door.

As I closed the door behind me I struggled to catch my breath , "What is happening to me", I growled to my wolf as he hummed in satisfaction " She is our 2nd chance mate" I could feel his happiness as soon as he thought the words. This girl whom I had not even wished to meet a week prior had completely taken my breath away with her beauty and her scent. I hurried down the hall to my office where my beta josh was waiting a cold drink in hand as I slumped down into my chair trying to wrap my mind around everything that had just happened.

"Well" Josh exclaimed dramatically, " What happened? How did it go?"

"She is f*****g perfect" I growled, slamming my fists down on my desk. "Aspin agrees she is our 2nd chance mate, And you and I both know that was never part of the plan."

"Plans change" Josh shrugged as he bust out laughing as he left the room, leaving me with my thoughts.

I sat back in my chair rubbing my temples, trying to make it all make sense, when my mother had told me that my father had arranged for a woman to come here in hopes we would wed, I had exploded at her, telling her how ridiculous it was to expect me to just accept some stranger after all we had endured. It felt like just yesterday since my wonderful Bekah was ripped away from us by the attack of the Grey Moon Pack. I could still see her bloody lifeless corpse in my arms when I closed my eyes.

I had never expected to feel anything for this woman, but I really had not been expecting my wolf to claim her as our own. He had been in mourning since we lost our mate and I had not heard a word from him until he growled, mine claiming Marlee as our own. "She radiates light", Aspin mumbled, sounding annoyed at my thoughts "And very beautiful". He added in a matter of fact tone. And he wasn't wrong. There was something about her that made me never want to leave her side. She radiated innocence and love even though I could tell she had not been properly loved over the years.

I could feel my c**k growing in my pants as I thought of her pale skin and beautiful cherry-red curly hair flowing around her face.

"f**k" I growled as I turned to try and focus on my work. About that time the door opened and in walked Victoria, the very thick brunette I had been filling my spare time with. She wasn't much in the way of company but she was easy to look at and a pretty decent lay.

Before I could say a word, she dropped to her knees between my legs and rubbed her long finger over the growing bulge in my pants.For a moment I thought about stopping her as she slid the zipper down releasing my c**k but decided against it as she wrapped her fingers around my throbbing member I needed the release and she was already here.

As she took me into her mouth, I closed my eyes, imagining the red-haired beauty that I found myself wishing was here in victorias place. "This will be our last encounter of this sort, Victoria" I stated, zipping my pants and positioning myself to look away from her.

"But why she cried, Dont you love our fun" she purred standing and resting her hand against my desk

"I have found my 2nd chance mate" I said, matter of factly "your services will no longer be needed", I added, sounding a bit more annoyed than I had intended.

"You can not mean that poor,, Pale nobody that your parents literally purchased" she screeched " She is literally nobody Anderson she is not worthy of you" she purred running her hand down my arm.

"WATCH YOUR f*****g TONE" I roared as I lunged from my seat, grabbing her throat and backing her into the wall. " I am your Alpha, you will do as your told and give respect where it is due" Tears began to fall from her eyes as she nodded her head as best she could. I lowered her to her feet and she ran from the room.
