Chapter 11: The Healing Process

Jasper rushed me to the hospital last night after I got back from those horrible men. The doctor said I have gone through to much recently and am lucky to still have my wolf with me. He said I was out for 4 days before I was found.

"Wait so your telling me I was gone for 4 days but can only remember maybe part of a day. How is that possible?" I say to the doctor.

"Well you said you thought you were injected with wolfsbane. I checked your blood levels and you were right but the dose you had should of killed off your wolf which is probably why they didn't think of giving you more wolfsbane. You alone should of probably died from that dose. It was more then a lethal dose." He says with a very concerned look on his face. "I'd like to keep you for the next few days to make sure that your ok and that all of the wolfsbane leaves your system and don't effect you or your wolf."

"I'm supposed to be dead? That can't be right. Are you sure that you did the tests right? How is this even possible? I need answers. Have you run the test again to double check? Maybe the machine is broke." I blurt out in a panic.

"Calm down. Yes we have run the tests more then once. We had some check the machine. It's not broken. We don't know how this is possible. We are running more tests and need to check on your wolf too. We will be checking on both of you every 1-2 hours. So try and get some rest in between then." He says in a rush trying to answer all of my questions.

"Ok. Well I guess I'll make due." I say rolling over in the bed to face the darker side of the room. Jasper is busy at the pack house so it's just me. I probably won't see him till later tonight. I close my eyes and try to sleep but it never comes. I hear my door open I don't move or roll I honestly feel weaker then I did last night. "Go away. I don't want to talk." I say while covering my head with my blanket.

"You don't want to talk to your favorite brother. I guess I'll go but I figured you could use some company." Says Aiden walking closer to my bed. He's right I am bored and tired of sitting here all by myself.

"No. I'm sorry. Please stay. I'm so board it's not funny. The doctor wants to keep me here for days. Says I have more then a lethal dose of wolfsbane in my system. The doctor said I should be dead same with my wolf." I say crying to my brother.

He sits next to my bed on the side that I'm facing. "Hey it's ok sissy I'm here. I won't leave your side until you can go home. I promise." He says wrapping me into a hug. I hug him back we stay like this for a few minutes then we break apart.

"Ok. That makes me happy. I'm glad I'll have you. it's pretty boring here. I won't blame you if you want to go at any point." I say.

"I'm not going anywhere sissy." He says grabbing for the tv remote. "What should we watch. You little trouble maker you." He says while tickling me.

I look at the guide for a few minutes before we decided on a Disney movie. By the time Jasper comes to my room Aiden and I were singing and dancing to the movie. Jasper is leaning in the door way clapping and laughing by the time we noticed him. "Woohoo! Yeah! Great job! Do it again!" He says almost dieing of laughter.

"Hey babe you here to join the party?" I say laughing as I sit back down onto my bed. "Aiden and I have been having a great time. He promised to be here with me in this prison. The doctor and nurses check in on me every 2 hours. So sleep is not in the picture unless a certain Alpha gets them to stay out till morning." I say winking at him.

"Hey sissy if Jasper will be here for the night I'm going to go home and come back in the morning. I'll even bring stuff for us to do." Aiden says grabbing his coat and looking at Jasper for approval to leave. Jasper gives him a quick nod and he's out of the room in less then a minute.

"You want me to order the doctor and nurses to stay out all night and risk you dieing or your wolf? I don't think so love that's why I'm here to make sure you get at least some rest." He says smiling at me.

He comes over to my bed and motions fore to scoot over for him to lay down with me. He pulls me close and kisses the top of my head. He then moves my gown to the side to kiss where he placed my mark. He looks up at me with a big smile on his face and his eyes goes black with lust. He quickly rolls on top of me and puts me into the center of the bed. and kisses me on my lips passionately. The doctor and a nurse come through my door and freezes.

"Sorry to interrupt Alpha but we have her tests results back." The doctor said while holding up a file. Jasper Growls but gets off of me. I let out a loud growl and sit up. "Again I'm sorry Alpha and Luna. But you'll be happy to know that you'll only have to stay one more day the fluids we are giving you are working. Almost all of the wolfsbane is out of your system. So 1 more day in this prison for you." He says pointing at me and wiggling his finger like he was scolding a child.

"Thank you doctor." Jasper said while nodding his head.

"Doctor wait." I said as she started to walk out the door. "Does that mean that I can be left alone for the night? So then I can hopefully get some sleep. It's been a long day and is like to rest for the night. But only if that's ok with you." I said in a hopeful voice.

"I suppose I could leave you alone for 4 hours instead of 2 hours. But only if you promise to sleep and only sleep. You two have to remember this is a hospital not a fertility clinic." She stated firmly.

"Remember who your talking to doc. We just lost 2 pups we know to take a break. Me kissing my beautiful mate doesn't make this a fertility clinic. I missed her a lot today and just wanted her to know that. which should be understandable as I was 4 days with out her I dropped her off last night and went back to where she was taken to. So then I could see if I could track down any of the men who took her. I found them all dead. including one of our own." Jasper stated coldly.

"Actually about that one of our own thing. He was an inside man. He beat me and then tried to rape me. I recognized his voice from I'm my hiding place. I mind linked Kane and told him to kill him and told him what he did. It took Kane 1.5 seconds to end his life. He then went and checked the caves to be sure that they were all dead. He came back for me 15 minutes later. He told me it was safe and that I could come out now." I say confused. I thought they knew. I wonder why Kane hasn't told him. "Kane come to my hospital room immediately." I order him through mind link.

"Yes ma'am. I'll be there in a few minutes. I have to finish up what I'm doing real fast then I'll be there." He mind linked back.

"NO NOW! IT WAS AN ORDER NOT A REQUEST!" I demand him using my Luna authority in mind link might work better.

"Yes ma'am I'm on my way now" He mind linked quickly.

The was a knock on my door a minute or two later. I motion for the doctor to let them in. Kane comes through the door. and quickly bows his head.

"Kane please tell me why you didn't tell Alpha Jasper that you killed one of ours. And it better be a good reason." I say coldly. I know I might be being a tade bit to harsh on the guy but that should of been done and said way before now I have been in here for a whole day now and Jasper still don't know what happened.

"Luna I couldn't find Alpha Jasper so I told Alpha Zayran and Luna Lyndy. I told them every thing that happened including the part about you telling me that I needed to kill him because he beat you and tried to rape you. Im sorry I didn't tell you Alpha Jasper but I thought you knew. I thought Alpha Zayran, Luna Lyndy, and Luna Kerah told you. I'm sorry I will do better I promise."

Thank you for apologizing for your mistakes. Please don't let it happen again or you'll have to be punished. I don't want to have to punish you Kane. You saved my life and for that I am grateful. You may go now thank you fir doing as your told." I say to Kane with a thankful look and a smile. I motion for him to leave and he does. He probably didn't like being yelled at or scolded for making the mistake but he like the others have to learn. He and I were the only ones who knew what that warrior did to me so he should of told Jasper. But at least he told Zayran and Lyndy.

"You didn't have to that babe" Jasper says looking very sad.

I reach over and take his hand "Yes I did. He was the only one other then myself who knew that and so he should of told you or at least told you that you needed to talk to me about what happened to me while I was gone. It's his duty to make sure that if he knows something that no one else know's that he tells their mate. I didn't punish him. I just wanted him to learn from his mistakes. He did right by telling Zayran and Lyndy but no one told you or had you come talk to me. instead they let you run all the way back to check out the area and no one told you. You had no idea what happened to me nor what they were going to do. I didn't even find out why they took me I ended up mouthing off and getting beaten twice and almost rapped. All because I couldn't keep my mouth shut." I say basically in a panic attack. Jasper wraps his arms around me and kisses my head. I feel the calming sensation going all over my body and I start to calm down. This is one of the perks of having a mate they are always there for you.

"It's ok love. Nothing bad is going to happen to you again. I will not leave your side anymore or you'll always have your gamma or Kane there to protect you. Now let's lay down and get some sleep. You can go now doctor I have it from here." Jasper says in a hushed voice. He starts to lay us down and I drift off to sleep in minutes.

When I wake up Jasper is talking to the doctor and nurse and they are going over paperwork. I decide to get up and go to the bathroom and to check up on my wolf.

"Hey. How are you doing?" I ask her.

*I'm doing good I almost feel completely better. All of the wolfsbane is finally out of our system. So we should be back to normal in a matter of hours. They are letting Jasper take you home today. He really helped with our healing process. I love our mate.* She says proudly.

"That's great news I can't wait to go home and be in our own bed. I will get much better sleep there." I say confidently. I close off our link so then she can finish healing.

I use the bathroom and wash my hands. When I'm done I brush my teeth and go back into my room. I see Jasper is still talking to the doctor so I decided to order me some breakfast and watch some TV. Jasper will fill me in on everything when they are done talking. I can be patient when I absolutely have to.

"What are you eating baby?" Jasper asked me while I put the last bite into my mouth.

I finished what was in my mouth before answering him. "I had French toast with fruit and chocolate milk." I answered with a big smile on my face. He just laughed sat down next to me. He pulled me close and kissed my head.

"Why don't you get dressed and we can go home." He says winking at me.

I jump up and grab my clothes. I quickly throw off the gown they had me in and put on my pants and shirt. I needed help with my socks and shoes it hurts to bend over still but I'll be fully healed in an hour or two. I grab my things and head to the door. "Well aren't you coming." I ask looking back at Jasper who is still sitting on my bed with an amazed look on his face.

"Yes love I'm coming I just didn't expect you to get dressed so quickly. You know your supposed to be injured and let me help you right." He says laughing holding the room door open.

"Yes I know. I was just tired of being in that room." I say as I wave goodbye to the nurses and doctor. I am so excited I can finally go home and rest.

When we got home Jasper had me shower and climb into bed. He said that the doctor said I needed bed rest for the next 2 days. The doctor also said no s*x as it could injure me more then I already am.

Jasper and I are laying in bed watching a movie when I start to doze off. Jasper pulls me closer so then I can lay on his chest and sleep. It takes a little while but I finally fully fall asleep to Jasper playing with my hair and rubbing circles on my hand. He helped me relax and rest just like the doctor said. It goes all black and I can't hear the tv no more just Jaspers heart and breathing. I give up and fully pass out to the sound of him.
