Alexia
I woke up early, which was not my custom, but if I'm going to take over the company, I'll have to get used to it. I opened the window and saw that the day was cloudy. What the hell! It looked like it was going to rain, hated rainy days. I went to the bathroom, took a shower and did my personal hygiene. I fixed my hair, pulling it into a bun. I did light makeup, something not too flashy, I wore a social outfit and shoes that matched the outfit. I put on some jewelry, but mostly my picture frame pendant, which I never take off except to shower. I walked into the dining room, saw Sara and my father having coffee.
"Good Morning!" said strangely to Sara at the beginning of our house. "Fell out of bed, Sara? You're early." I sat down at the table and the maid served me.
"I sleep here," she said awkwardly as I bit into my stuffed croissant.
It's my favorite!
"Oh!" I looked at my father, surprised at his audacity.
"I didn't want to waste time taking you home, the meeting ended too late."
"I imagine." I looked at Sara, who looked uncomfortable. "What about Mom?" I said over my coffee.
“I don't know, I didn't sleep in the bedroom.” I almost choked.
"Oh!" - I looked again at Sara that now, the poor woman was dying of shame. "When do you get back from your trip?" I asked to change the subject.
"Tonight, why?"
"Nothing, just to make sure what time I have to wrap up the party." He stopped chewing and looked at me. "I'm kidding! I'm not having a party." He went back to chewing again. "It's not a big party."
We finished our coffee in silence, my father went off on his journey taking poor Sara. I went to my mom's room to see how she was doing, as much as she didn't deserve it, but I cared about her. Her bed was made, which meant she didn't sleep at home. And me here, worrying about her...
"Let them understand each other".
I went to my room, grabbed my bag and went to the company. I wanted to show my dad what he was missing by not putting me to work with him. On the way, I called Patricia to come help me and together show our father that he didn't need to be a boy to be competent.
I arrived at the company first and went straight to the boss's cafeteria, there only the directors and managers had breakfast. In order not to think that I got mixed up with the employees, I had to show them where their places were.
Right away, I saw Conrado. Damn it! I promised to give him an answer, needed an excuse to wind him up a little longer, at least until my dad agreed to work with him, or until I found an excuse to break up.
"Hi love!" he said looking happy to see me.
"Hi!" I smiled without showing my teeth.
Conrado was a beautiful guy, despite being terrible in bed, I don't know how I stayed with him for so long. We studied together in London and although we were together, I always had a flirtation on the outside, to make up for his failure in bed, he never found out. He was twenty-five years old, six feet tall, brown eyes and hair, always clean-shaven, was one of the things I liked about him. I hate a relaxed man who didn't take care of himself, that was a positive point for me to have stayed with him.
"What are you doing here? I thought you didn't wake up before noon." OK! He called me lazy to the hard face.
"I wanted to show my dad work since he's away."
"You, show work? You should be shopping and not working." Now he called me useless.
"And who is going to assume a presidency?"
"After we're married, you won't have to worry about it."
"Does that mean you're only with me out of interest?"
"No! It's not that beautiful, you know I love you." He tried to kiss me, but I turned away.
"Doesn't look like it! Where's Antony?"
"He hasn't shown up yet."
"What about Robson?"
"He's not coming today. He has other customers who need him."
"One thing I'm sure, when I take over the company, these perks of yours will end." He grinned silly and touched my chin.
"You look beautiful angry, you know?" I took his hand off me and walked away. "Where are you going?"
"Do something you guys aren't doing, work."
I took the elevator up to the presidency floor and was surprised when I saw Sara in reception.
"I thought you went with my dad!" I said entering the presidency room and she following me.
"He decided to give me a break."
"Work, or your s****l adventures?"
"Of adventures." At least she was sincere.
"Give me his schedule for today."
"Does he know you're here?"
"No, I want to show him that I can do this."
"OK!"
"When Patricia arrives, sends her in and doesn't need to tell you."
"Yes ma'am!"
"No need to call me ma'am, after all, you sleep with my father." She smirked and left the room.
I still had to talk to her about not having to consult me about the problems the company was going through, but first I wanted to be able to show my father that I could work here.
